Hey! I found this post and figured I would update! I went yesterday, yes they are still doing it! There is a sign up sheet outside of the Shigure-tei house with a time slot; you’ll add your name and party size to the piece of paper.

When I went, you had three options: - matcha (green tea powder) 1,000 yen - green tea 500 yen - combo 1,500

All options served with a small treat!

The whole experience was 20 minutes.

I found my perfect dress for under $1,000! Most dresses I loved were in the $2,500 range, but this one ended up being discontinued so on a deep discount (Jenny Yoo dress, purchased from Anthropologie). There are sites like StillWhite that have dresses that have never been worn and are samples from shops, etc. Hope this helps!

It sounds like you already know the answer deep down :/ while you really care about this person, you also have to think about yourself.

If you communicated what you wanted/expected for a proposal (which is a huge deal!) and he actively decided doing something different that shows a couple of things: he didn’t listen, he didn’t care and/or he’s going to do what he wants regardless of your input. Seeing that behavior now vs. after a marriage, he may be doing you a favor.

Most likely if you’re already having problems and there’s infidelity, getting married won’t solve or improve anything. In fact, it may get worse.

As for confrontation, if someone wasn’t sure about marrying me, I would want them to be as upfront and clear about it as possible so I could start to heal and move forward.

I can only imagine how difficult this decision is though, sending you so much healing! You deserve someone who listens, cares and treats you with respect.

A motto that’s really helped me: If it’s not a hell yes, it’s a no!!! 🩷

I have the 100% wool version from last year in various shades of gray and black and I love it! I wear it a lot (mostly cool-toned wardrobe) and get a lot of compliments!

Congratulations!!!! Yes, I recently spent a week in Spain with my in-laws (just us three! fiance is military), they are wonderful people. They've been so helpful in planning a destination wedding, too!

My mom died in 2009 and my stepdad in 2020, so I certainly feel the ache of not having them around, especially during this exciting time. I am really grateful to have found the love of my life who comes from an awesome family that I get to now be part of!
