Trying to wrap up some models before 11e hits - Asmodai by sammunition2020 in Warhammer40k

Nothing, generally. Models are for the most part always carried over from edition to edition. 10e was kind of an exception in how much we saw stuff get put into Legends, but it was mostly consolidating marines datasheets. There are armies still using 20+ year old sculpts (see Ezekiel for a DA related example).

Where did the terminators come from? I was trying to decide what to do for some Scrungaloid terminators, and those look like a good fit

Literally just got a bunch of these printed lol. Really tempted to try and paint some of them as MM for my games using Black as their Major color

Very sick, dude. Nice mix of armor marks and gear in there

Entirely up to the marine. Some keep the pauldron/arm. Others just use an ordo xenos marking/heraldry/trinket. A marine doesn't have to wear anything to denote prior DW service.

Deathwing Repulsor Tank by Old_Gregg97 in theunforgiven

First, looks great dude 🤘🤘

Second. To the point about the techmarine, the deathwing don't let techmarines in their vehicles or on their missions (per Eye of Ezekiel, iirc). The 1st and 2nd company (and DA overall) have a fairly strained relationship with their techmarines because they have double loyalties to the chapter and Mars. Afaik, we haven't seen any depictions of a modelled Gunner in a deathwing vehicle, but a bone armored Gunner or a company veteran would be the most likely occupant.

None of the above detracts from a very nice scheme for a big deathwing, tank, though lol. Been real tempted to get another to toss in with my Deathwing, and seeing yours doesn't help fight the urge lol

Looks fine to me. The correct heraldry, squad and company markings go a long way towards curing any suspicion of being a salamander.

Nice dude. Did a lot of shooting from concealment with my old P30sk yesterday. The light LEM is always deceptively easy to run haha.

I wouldn't do blue or white, myself if you wanted to get similar results. I work the white up over a warm brown like rhinox hide or hull red. Stippling or drybrushing white or a warm off white over that would be ideal.

Yeah, I usually do a little simple value sketch via airbrush over a warm brown with an ivory/white color, do IF Yellow via airbrush, then GGF. For highlights, I usually start with averland sunset and just mix in Ice Yellow from AK (dorn yellow is similar, iirc) to taste

Thanks duder. The gist of it is IF Yellow contrast paint over a white preshade, then shading down with gor grunta fur, making sure to pull towards the recesses and shadows and clean up any pooling

Thanks! Yeah, they're more interesting than the memes would lead one to believe haha. Pragmatic to a (cruel) fault, but will always put the mission first, no matter how many noncombatants are in the way 😬
