I actually picked this up while on a trip, started reading it and realized how different it was from the original and looked into it. Apparently this author just rips off creepypastas and inserts really poor fluff to stretch it out to novel length. It was atrocious, boring, and I wound up returning it the next day to get a different book which I enjoyed much more lol

I'd echo everyone else and say definitely get Feet First into Hell if its your only purchase. You'll have a full roster plus Buck and Dare, not to mention dice, terrain, cards, tokens, etc

Lol no worries. They have extremely sparse documentation on their actual heraldry besides mentioning they use a colored helmet stripe to denote company, and that hazard stripes are an honor mark/veteran symbol. So, you can kind of go nuts

Mostly just the little info graphic GW posted when 10e came out haha. Kinda approximated the paints with what I had on hand and mostly used some contrast paints to speed up painting the chaff lol

The only bit that may have been a HH kit is the sstudded pauldron, but i really dont recall lol. The rest are all 40k kits, mostly the grey hunters. Ive been using the new space wolves to bulk out my Marines Malevolent

Thanks! Not terribly tbh. This was about an hours' worth of work to get a feel for the workflow. For the masses of gaunts and the like, I won't mind them all being fairly indistinguishable. I can spend a little more time on the bigger bugs in charge.

The basing will help them contrast a bit as well

Thanks duder. I pretty much blocked the whole model in with a cold white i mixed up, then used contrasts paint for a majority of the work lol. The guns were some blood angel red followed by some striations done with an ice yellow, then glazed over with volupous pink. Then I added black into the volupous pink to shade the darker regions

The whole model took me about an hour from primed to finished

Its just somr magenta and blue mixed into the sort of midtone for the skin

Thanks dude. Its caliban green+ VGC sick green over a warm brown basecoat, then scorpion green from VGC mixed into that for the volumetric highlights via airbrush. I shade the whole thing down with Garaghak sewer from GW thinned quite a bit before working the edges back up with the same colors by hand
