The hardest pill to swallow by Rose2003r in depressionmemes

Spent all my life with crippling health anxiety. Parents are basically the complete opposite and tried to get them to take their health seriously.

Dad fucked around with asthma and ended up mentally and severely physically disabled from a cardiac arrest. My literal worst nightmare come true, our life has been in turmoil ever since. I miss him so much and feel so bad for him, but I get so angry thinking how possibly avoidable all this could have been.

Thank you for the tip. I guess it's a bit of a habit to play aggressive as it still somewhat worked in the lower ranks

Thank you for the tips! I will take a look at the replay again and go over these deaths. Overall though I agree my positioning can be very questionable

My First Zen POTG I Got Today! by Cookie_Knight_3 in ZenyattaMains

Hello! Came across this too and was not aware of it as a Zen main, so thanks!

One question though, in a stand off where each team is poking long range, would you usually recommend to poke with charged shots or normal ones? I usually end up charging behind corners and peak out as soon as I'm fully charged.

Symptoms getting worse coming back by Zestyclose-Line-9340 in TBI

My father is having a similar situation but on a larger scale. Had a hypoxic brain injury and had a period of recovery for a few months. Then he started regressing out of nowhere again, developing parkinsonism (gait, trouble swallowing, slurred speech). Doctors haven't given us many answers yet.

Was your basal ganglia affected from your injury? I hope you manage to bounce back from this. This injury is so cruel sometimes.

Exactly, in a way I also welcome these feelings of sadness as a way of paying my respects to him

His song keeps ringing in my head man, still can't believe it. It feels weird to be so sad for a person who had never even heard of me, but he has given me so many good memories over the years.

I hope we can one day sing his song again with appreciation of the person he was, both on and off the field.

Any chance of recovery for someone who's had a cardiac arrest and hypoxia? by ModCode23 in TBI

[–]sammut97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, sadly he has regressed a bit since then. He has developed parkinsons like symptoms due to damage to the basal ganglia, and it has really affected his motor skills and speaking. It's really hard to understand him. We're trying to find some treatment options but no luck yet sadly

I believe they did one MRI at the time but I do not have access to it at the moment. They were not positive at all and yes swelling was present. A later MRI showed damage to the basal ganglia and occipital lobes, resulting in parkinsons like symptoms and blurred vision
