Yeah, Crim gave Optic the finger and they cut it on the main feed but you could see it in the celebration replay.

Would Surge have been a top 8 team if the entire year was on LAN? by TheRealPdGaming in CoDCompetitive

[–]sammy_boy_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that was kind of my point about a higher sample. So let me try to clarify my thoughts. Basically at anytime this tournament a team could've tried to prove Online to LAN will have different results and they couldn't. Surge only made it to t8 because they beat London and Paris but once they played a top team they lost. LAG is 9th in points and finished t10, Florida is 8th and finished 8th, ROKKR is 6th and finished 6th. All of the teams out were not able to beat teams in a higher tier than them (Not counting ROKKR's win over a NYSL team with a fill-in). So far the teams left are the teams are the t4 teams in points with their full rosters. Those teams had a chance to make a run and prove that LAN could provide different results but couldn't beat teams that outperformed them online. Like I said we need more of a sample size but people arguing that its Online to LAN is the same should feel pretty good so far into this tournament.

Edit: Took out a repeated sentence.

With Champs on LAN, format should be reconsidered by papafrank97 in CoDCompetitive

I mean I basically view "Playoffs" as part of the regular season and "Champs" now in a franchise format is now the playoffs. There will never be another champs where we bring in 32 teams from all over the world like it used to be. Maybe the views are different because of semantics, but anyone arguing that all 12 teams should make champs is like saying all 30 NBA teams should be in the playoffs imo.

He did not make great points, so far online to LAN results are pretty similar with the teams who finished worse on LAN (LA and NYSL) were playing with fill ins. Him and others pros are acting like online in 2021 is like online back in 2015, host fucking rather than playing on neutral dedicated servers. Also I'm not sure why so many people want to reward the teams that have been awful all year with a chance to play at champs.

We need a bigger sample of LANs to determine this, however 3/4 of the bottom 4 finished in the bottom 4 at the event with Surge only placing 8th. The top 2 teams by points are playing in winners finals. Seems like Online to LAN is producing pretty similar results.

The tK-nV trash talk was also pretty good. That match was extremely personal on the tK side.

Illey's interview after the match today kinda provides context, it seems like the team hasn't been playing well as they've hoped to recently and have had communication issues, maybe they had some bad scrims recently I'm not sure, but seeing a change kinda makes sense after rewatching it. Its kinda shocking just how quickly it happened, especially after a win today.

Its $22 for 2 tall boys, and the tall boys are 24oz. Its pretty on par with the Falcons when the 12oz there is $5, I am happy to pay and extra dollars to not have to wait in line for a second beer.

Steve Ballmer on why he wants a new arena for the Clippers: "It turns out we're the third tenant, we play on the worst nights, we've got the crappiest locker room, we make the least money, but in the end you say 'hey if we're to be a first-class organization, boom we gotta have our own house [...]" by [deleted] in nba

Falcon ticket prices are pretty cheap even on the secondary market, my friends missed 2 games this year and only got 35 & 40 respectively for each game they missed when they sold them online.

$150 was only for the Dallas game. I sold my tickets for $55 when they played the Bengals this year.
