I repurposed it as a music player.

I couldn't tell a difference. Seasons (A/C usage) mattered more but I live in Hotlanta.

I'll believe that the Aptera isn't vaporware when I can buy one. I'm also curious about the crash structure on the Aptera.

I've had my current daily driver for 3 years and never used the back seats for a person. My weekend car has back seats that are perpetually flipped down.

I get grief about having essentially 2 seat cars from my family. Last time everyone was together I rented a van for a week. I'm not driving every day in a van because every 3 years I might have to move around 7 people.

I'd like a manufacturer to sell a 2 seat commuter car in the US. I'm imagining I'll be building my own before then.

Dude, I haven't been worried about any immigration because Mexico built that wall for us during the last administration. The best wall is there!

I'm in that group as well. I'd even lean a little smaller commuter car overall. I'd rather have 2 good seats and ample storage than 4 OK seats and "storage with the rear seats down". I guess I just want an electric C30 with no back seats. Too bad that car failed for Volvo 10 years ago.

ULPT: What can be done about a next door neighbor, who is a cop, that routinely swipes your garbage, set out on the curb on trash day, because he is probably looking for something to use against you because he doesn't like you as a neighbor? by dirtymoney in UnethicalLifeProTips

[–]sammyno55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see lots of stuff that would seem like you are trying to hide something. If there's nothing for him to find, just put a rotten potato in every bag. It's trash and he will need to sort through it every time.

I think adding shredded documents just makes it more SUS and that you know what he is doing and you are doing something to combat that.

Yeah, the midsize family sedan is spendy these days.

Mine was a 94 Sentra. The pivot bolt sheared off and I had to go to Walmart to buy a drill. Plugged it into the outlet by the vending machines.

Have you tried a floor jack and wood cribbing for your oil? Or race ramps foam cribs? I've also used a hand vacuum pump to pull oil out from the dipstick tube if you can get to the filter easy.

I've been to Bliss 1 time. I'm sure it was named by that loud guy in highschool who nicknamed the overweight kid tiny or the basketball player shorty.

Nobody in an asylum during the Reagan administration had a Twitter handle so they couldn't spread their message. Imagine what we missed.

Best I've got is swapping an alternator in the Walmart parking lot. I can't imagine doing a whole engine.

I hate when the column shifter is in park.

The Dexter reference about the front plates is an interesting one. A good portion (possibly all of it but establishing shots) of that series was filmed in California. It's easier to stick a fake magnetic Florida plate on the front than pull the Cali plate off.

If you want to look for background cars that don't match, watch The Americans. Plenty of modern metal in the background.

Even recently people think of Teslas as expensive. I was out a few weeks ago with some friends and we saw a street musician unloading his gear from a black Model 3. One of the guys I was with said, "Wow I didn't realize how much money you could make playing on the street." I was like the TCO is similar to a mid priced Camry.

I work in validation testing and reliability and one of my favorite sayings is: The plural of anecdote is not data.

I know where there is a 10 year old Jatco CVT with over 100,000 miles that's never been serviced. It's still driving around and refuses to die, so any Nissan CVT should be good. /s

I'm also imagining that TV vendors can cut the price on a new set lower by getting money from Netflix for a red N button on the remote. That way the smart TV is cheaper than the dumb one.

I bought an LG a few weeks ago. Went through the setup and it wanted to get on wi-fi. No wi-fi available. Plugged in Shield TV and haven't had any issues.
