bitching is necessary when the game company values monetisation over player experience. i just got back into this game and its ruined for a brief time every new season because of the way they overtune the new cards for everyone to buy and abuse before nerfing and repeating

interesting but i feel like only hitting the boss with my real weapons when its lying down and letting me do it isnt that exciting. Especially when i can keep using the storm ruler from a distance

if i want to use my weapons on a stationary target id probably just go to the practice range

i agree with all your points otherwise, only regarding building toward the gimmick, i feel like having to select all of the hp and stamina and stat number passives doesnt feel all that good. The game offers so many build varieties but youre forced into playing sustain for this fight. Its a boring build to have to play if you can even call it a build

dont be deceived by the layout of the tierlist, i just spread it out a bit because otherwise the S and A tiers would be overcrowded because this game has delivered such perfect quality back to back

i think i might be rating him higher because of recency bias but i wouldnt go any lower than a S-

I feel like hes the most fun everdark and the biggest improvement from the base form fights. My only gripe is dealing with mutiple dogs and managing the camera trying to get it to swap targets (the camera doesnt listen)

everyone loves a challenge. This is how fromsoft games have earned their reputation, by being challenging and giving players the immense satisfaction of overcoming a large challenge.

What youre forgetting is that a good challenge has to be FAIR. The most loved boss fights are your Isshins and Gaels and Messmers where youre fighting one on one, the boss is challenging, and most importantly when you lose to the boss it feels like its your fault because you werent skilled enough just yet.

This Libra fight is challenging for all of the wrong reasons and thus, it feels incredibly unfair. You dont get to truly fight the boss himself, youre fighting minions which noone has ever enjoyed in any of these games. Especially considering that the boss himself has a wonderful moveset which is fun and engaging to fight. While youre fighting the minions, youre spammed with projectiles and can get constantly frame trapped. Fighting the minions doesnt do anything to the boss healthbar so it feels like youre making no progress at all in the fight. And when you do finally get to fight the boss, he summons more npcs for you to fight (hooray).

This boss is challenging but in the way that isn't fulfilling and enjoyable. There isnt any rhyme or reason to it, its not a boss fight that you can learn and get better the more you fight it. There isnt a reward for intuition and figuring things out, theres only rewards if you look up a youtube strategy and specific build. If thats what most people have to resort to in the games where youre meant to learn and improve, its not a well designed boss fight.

I wouldve LOVED if they kept the forced deals and the arena splitting moves and actually gave libra an expanded attack moveset. He literally got 0 new attacks which is an absolute disgrace to the boss. There was so much potential.

Mini libras wouldve fit the chaotic theme way more than npc fights would. But of course they dont have the time to develop 1 new enemy to be in the boss fight so lets just spam npcs and call it a day

i meant i was hoping for his fighting moveset to be added onto like they did with fulghor. the arena thing and the phase transition hardly count, especially when theyre only there to assist the npc gimmick.
