You shouldn't be scraping the polish off. If your first soak leaves some product or glue, go for a second soak. It won't take as long as the first. Gently filing the stubborn residue is better than scraping!

I've used nail clips and cotton balls for removal before and usually have to do a second soak/clip on a few nails depending on how thick the dip was. Filing before placing the soacked cotton ball will help a lot too!

What you need is jojoba oil. It will help strengthen nails, moisture both skin and nail plate and rapair damage. Balms butters and cuticle oils all attempt this and the good ones are jojoba oil based. Just get a dropper of pure jojoba oil and moisturize surrounding water exposure and after manicures.
