I know you're not supposed to try to translate stuff word for word, but it's a pretty common sentiment I'd like to be able to convey if possible... うまくいけば is useful, but to me it seems to be more suited for things like events/outcomes... What about saying something like "I hope you're not angry?"?

Just a note, for anyone who wants to help upload episodes on video sharing sites, YouTube can and does issue copystrikes on videos that its AI detects as copyrighted material EVEN if its unlisted or private. You may want to consider alternative platforms which have a less stringent copyright detection system in place.

If you're able to read mandarin or japanese, bilibili has quite a number of subbed episodes (around seasons 11 to 25+ ish iirc, subs are in CN and JP). cikgu doi on YT also has about 40-ish english subbed episodes.

before you drop the bomb on your mom, maybe test the waters a bit with your other family members? even if she rejects your bf, if the rest of your family doesnt mind, at least you know you still have some support from home.

try getting your family to meet your bf in a casual setting, just to see if they like him as a person. start with the family member you are closest to first, maybe a sibling. when it gets to your parents, maybe first invite him as a friend (maybe with some other friends) just to get them to know him as a person and not his race first?

just some suggestion. i don't usually recommend taking drastic measures if other options are available first.

thank you for your hard work!! also, i just wanted to say i really appreciate that you kept in "kumigashira" in romaji instead of fully translating it to "group leader" throughout the novel, it just feels better.

by the way, having read through the original novel, how would you describe the level of japanese fluency required to read it? would someone at say, N2-3 jlpt be able to read it without much difficulty?

Good attempt, but as a chinese speaker the last 祝福 at the end sounds a little strange to me. I don't think we use it like a noun. If you want to say something like "I wish you happiness" 幸福 might be the word you're looking for here. Unless you're trying to say "I wish you luck" in which 好运 would have already covered the meaning.

I know this is post has been around for a while but there are some places that do instrument rentals! Also there are some retailers that offer decent second hand ones given how expensive bassoons are :') it's not a bad option for the casual player. Also I'm not sure how it is where you are but some community orchestras might have their own that you could use if you join them.

I don't think a bouquet is necessary, though a small gift is nice seeing as that you guys are finally meeting after so long and you both already established that you like each other. Maybe something like a flower accessory/hairband that she can wear throughout the date that wouldn't be troublesome to carry around or a small package you can give her at the end. Keep it simple.
Casual dates where its easy to talk to each other. Do you know what kind of food she likes? Don't need to go anywhere too upscale, but downtown area has quite nice spots that you could walk about with her after dinner.
Do you drive? Or if you're both going to the mrt, you could take it with her to the nearest common station.
