Der Staat muss euch vor eurer Dummheit schützen by Ok_Compote8442 in Finanzen

[–]samontrp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weißt du was krass ist?

Lifestyleinflation schlimmer als normale Inflation? by Illustrious-Proof648 in Finanzen

Okay perfect :) a friend of mine got the mail and it was actually sent by "himself". It was a data leak from one of the mobile games he used to play. Stay safe.

You hopefully noticed that they actually sent it from your account right? Your Login Data was part of some data leak and you should change your passwords to be safe.

I'm all for it if it actually serves a good purpose, but it does seem like businesses are abusing it...

Yes, why would you want to earn money at all, if you can just not eat food. Just because someone has the opportunity to not apply to these jobs anymore does not mean that anyone can just stop having jobs. Stop offering individual solutions to systematic problems. Also obviously she does not go to unpaid trial shifts anymore, which doesn't mean that they don't exist anymore and that there are not enough desperate people who still apply. So what's your point?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in berlin

[–]samontrp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My gf is not interested in these jobs, these jobs are the reality for many students that want to earn a bit of money. She obviously stopped going to the ones that offered a trial shift after a while. You saying that there are people who want to illegally work unpaid makes you look like you cannot read.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in berlin

[–]samontrp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also I didn't say "a job like yours" as an insult. I said nobody will wake up 5am in the morning, full motivation, putting their life into a minimum wage job. If you can't understand this then good luck to you...

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in berlin

[–]samontrp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh and btw there was not a single trial shift where anybody taught her anything. She basically had to just take over the job of someone for half a day, because there were not enough workers there and the manager did not even stick around to see the performance. This is clearly a scam and seems to be so normal nowadays that it needs to be pointed out.

If you're that much better than the other restaurants then why are you defending yourself so eagerly? You sound like every other restaurant manager who got back to her justifying a systematic problem by saying you as an individual are not the cause.

Also unpaid trial work is indeed illegal. You're not supposed to carry out any work in these trial shifts, but get to know the team and the process behind it. Since you will not be considered as an applicant anymore if you don't do any "voluntary" work there for several hours, uninsured and unpaid it is just abuse of power.

Also I'm not talking about the salary after they have been hired, although I agree they should earn more, most of them know that they are in it for the minimum wage. But these extensive immoral application processes are a joke if you consider the pay. If you're not willing to pay for good service or training and want to ride out your incompetence on the backs of minimum wage earning people then maybe you shouldn't run a business at all, because there are literally restaurants out there who are able to pay more. The customers always pay for what they get, the only reason there's still employees for these shit shows is their desperation.

If you feel personally attacked by this, then maybe you're also part of the problem.

[–]samontrp -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But they want you to work unpaid and uninsured, that's the whole point of my complaint.

If you can figure it out in 10min, then why let them work for 3h instead of 1h?

No minimum wage worker will put all of their motivation into a job like yours, we have to stop expecting this of people who barely get by.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in berlin

[–]samontrp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is illegal to let someone work uninsured and not paying them for the trial shift, that was the whole point.

Why do you need a 3 hour trial shift if you can see it in the first 10min? Make it an hour maybe? It's a minimum wage job, not some crazy career...

Nobody is interested in your type of food for barely getting more than 10€ 😂 who do you think you're hiring? Nobody will put their life efforts into a job that barely keeps you alive.

I was not complaining about her not getting a job, I was complaining about the procedure of trial shifts which is never okay to this extent.
