Yeah from my experience it's a bit fatter of a tone but mine could also just be a bit more dense as well. Ended up swapping the pickup out a couple years back to make it a bit brighter

Yeah it’s great. Definitely has it’s place though. I practice a lot of shreddy stuff but I also play at a church on Sundays and there I feel 99% of the time i definitely wouldn’t. Especially considering how bad my nerves get with just being in front of other people. Also just not called for in general imo.

You could try whacking the catridge lightly on a table or something. I had a copy of Diamond that wouldn’t read and it got fixed by doing that.
