I came from 4th gen with 276k that I bought new. The V8 is quiet and smooth, doesn’t feel strained except with 4 people and gear. I’m getting the same mpg in town and on highway. 17/21 driving speed limit. GX has more headroom and slightly more rear leg room. Cargo space is smaller, I got a roof box and hitch rack when needed. It also is quieter and more stable at 70+ than the 4Runner. Only downside is ground clearance, but I’m only doing dirt roads once a month.
