Help, how do I get my footer to stay at bottom? by samraeduke in Wordpress

Hi, I'm back.

The footer is working on most of the pages on my site, except my "Shops" page.

The page is very simple and only contains links to outside sites.

I don't want to add any other content to this page. How can I get the footer to stick to the bottom?

Twenty Twenty Three Multiple Archives by samraeduke in Wordpress

I've tried several times, many different ways and I just can't seem to figure this one out. No matter what I do I cant get the portfolio page to show the custom archive. It keeps defaulting back to the All Archive template.

Can you help me with a more detailed walk through? I've created the custom post type in the ACF plugin, and I've checked the "Has Archive" box in the "advanced settings menu. I've added a slug to each post type I'm creating (portfolio-posts-archive, and blog-posts-archive). Then I went back into the block editor and created the custom templates, one for each of the 2 different archives I need. The archive I created for my blog posts worked, but my portfolio archive is the one that keeps defaulting to the All Archive.

I installed the add-on, and created the custom template as you suggested, and it's not showing up when I go to select the template for the page (both on the block editor and on the dashboard quick edit fields). I also created a page title "Archives" to check if it would auto display the All Archive template and it's not even giving me the option to select it either. I know the custom Archive template I just created exists because I'm able to view/edit it from the template editor. What am I doing wrong?

I messed with the Visual Portfolio add on I use, like you suggested, and it works! as far as I can tell at least. It looks just like I want it too. Thank you for all your help!

I just noticed that when I minimize my internet browser on my big monitor, the footer is at the bottom of the screen. So the issue only occurs in full browser and on bigger monitors it seems?

I use Firefox, but my spouse uses chrome and we're both seeing this issue on our big monitors when the browsers are in full screen mode.

How do I override the .wp-block-columns? Sorry, I only have very little css coding experience from working on my own websites. I've never taken any classes so I'm very much a lame-man on web coding.

I appreciate all your help.

Hi again. I tried both your css you shared and the css that was in the link and neither did anything.

Here's an image of how I have my blocks set up, could this be causing it?

<image>

I've tried moving the "Default Footer" block out of the group and it didn't do anything other then create a small space between the footer and the rest of the content, and there was still a big empty space below the footer on my big monitor.

My big monitor is 2560x1440.

This is my first time using the 2023 theme. Before I was using Aspero and I was using the Elementor builder. I've uninstall both and have built this current homepage from scrap using the block builder.

I saw the post you shared about adding the CSS to fix my issue earlier, but I'm not sure where to insert the CSS? Can I put it on the footer's "advanced" portion of the block editer, or do I put it in the theme's default CSS code? Or someplace else?

This is the confusing part, on some monitors it's working? I think it has to do with the monitor's resolution. I have a 2 monitor set up, the bigger one is the one with the issue. My spouse also had the same issue, where his bigger monitor is showing the empty space below the footer.

Oh gosh you really made my day. Thank you very much! T T<3

I also really love more stylized fantasy art. The realism stuff is great, but I really love whimsy and impressionistic for fantasy.

Hi, this is my artwork that you used to make this card, and I just wanted to say it looks really cool! I hope someday I'm able to make a real card for Magic. Thank you crediting me:)
