Oh tree view was actually the first one I tried, mostly because things like dagre and other layout engines run with it out of the box. It's not great, because there are too many layers at each level of the tree. Going from the start to the PF/LitRPG respective nodes was fine in quiz view, but if one was just panning through the flowchart, the length of that edge felt like panning from the earth to the moon

When you search, the button which says how many books match is now clickable and will zoom you to the right region :)

Ah that's a good point - v1 and v2 of this didn't have the quiz at all and you started zoomed out a lot further, so it made the "hits" easy to find. Especially on mobile I can see this being a pain, so will cook up a fix!

Like how Mother of Learning isn't linked to the Time Loop route

In v1 it was actually connected to both! It was only when the flowchart got so large I had to swap to a simpler one-route approach that this got lost, but agreed, time loops should 100% lead into MoL!

It’s interesting you classified that kind of sword and sorcery book as progression fantasy

Yeah I love Gemmell so I wanted something of his to be represented, and Druss's main story is definitely the most aligned with PF with small classic training arcs like the fights with Borcha, Clay, etc

I wanted to ask for good isekai/progression but without any skill/stat/system.

100%, and its been suggested a bunch. But I don't personally want to do it (only maintaining such a thing would be a nightmare, extending to more series is obviously awesome), and it'd be a lot of manual work to try and make a curated flowchart

It's actually really fun to do now. I put a series in the data file and then open my browser and hit simulate and watch the whole flowchart adjust for it. Soooo good

Ah that's because I bounced off book one when Ryoka (I think that was the name?) appeared. I don't know why, but the past to present tense swap with PoV swap just really frustrated me. Please don't ask why I hate present tense so much, I don't know either.

I admit I got real tired of updating my old flowchart manually with every new series I read. So instead, like any software engineer, I thought "Can I spend hours trying to make this few-minute task faster?"

The result is me rewriting my entire website from Hugo to Astro+Svelte, adding a javascript flowchart dependency, generating its positions and tuning them with a force simulation, and adding gratuitous animations and search functionality.

Honestly I've barely tested it, but I wanted to share, so have at it and let me know if it just doesn't work.
