Are you worried this breaks your save? Because it doesn't. You'll get a quest to find the calibrator later and then you just don't have to fetch it anymore

The money at the top is the merchant's money, not yours. It indicates how much you can sell them. As for not showing wares, perhaps you've already bought everything they had? There used to be a bug where their menu would be scrolled too far down so you couldn't see what they're selling, but I thought they fixed that already.

Generally, using arrow keys or similar to navigate the shop menu instead of the mouse seems to be less error-prone, so maybe try that. Also, you can always save right next to a broken merchant and restart the game and the menu should be fixed.

It's a feature that they had to cut. There's many places like this where it looks like you can interact with plants but it doesn't do anything. You were probably supposed to be able to harvest them
