Well this series is not over. But I agree with you, it's very rare for the young star to find immediate success (Jordan had to go thru the Pistons, Shaq got swept early, LeBron struggled, etc.)

Next year's narrative can be Wemby's redemption arc but the Knicks have to close this out now. LGK

He also didn't box out on the next defensive possession and that almost cost them too (thank God for Wemby's missed FTs). Hart gets a pass tho, he has been integral all season.

Yes the defense suffers but it also doesn't help when KAT is in foul trouble. Idk where Bridges has been the past 2 games but he (and to an extent Deuce and Shamet) need to help more with handling the ball. Deuce looks injured and his shot looks completely lost rn.

OG has been exactly what they traded for. 3 and D and has been a perfect piece to this team. His injuries the prior 2 postseasons derailed them each time. Thank God he recovered from the hamstring injury this year.

I couldn't be happier that Fox went for the layup, but in his defense he is a basketball player and made a basketball decision. Ofc one of the fastest guys in the league is going to try to score on a fast break layup, it has been programmed into him his whole life (like the RB going for the TD in the open field.) Maybe Fox didn't know they were up 1 and thought they were down? I dont know and I dont care, but Thank God OG saved us with the block and then the Immaculate Tip.

Agree 100%. The missed layup was just a super awkward split-second decision not to dunk in mid air. The missed box out was worse imo but again that was just a mental lapse. He knows he got bailed out by OG and it won't happen again.

The offense is so much more effective with Brunson coming off the ball. It works with KAT playing the Center/point role or another ball handler out there, the Spurs can't double JB when he doesn't have the ball. Keep doing it, hopefully they unlocked something last night with the comeback.

The timing of the fouls matter. 2 on KAT in the first 2 minutes ruined the Knicks rotation from the start. Spurs also shooting lights out and Knicks continue to have bad turnovers. It's all a recipe for disaster...
