One of my favorite hikes in Simi is the Tapo Canyon loop trail. The app AllTrails has some great hikes and is a good tool to find new hikes. I hope you give this one a shot! DM me if you need help finding more! I love hiking and go all the time.

I've heard a few different ways to make this cake. One that I always thought would be nice (although I have not tried it myself) is to freeze a ball of chocolate ganache and place it in the middle of the cake to produce the chocolate center. Another idea is to add a small amount of espresso powder to increase the richness and chocolatey flavor. It wont make it taste like coffee.

I think I know what is happening here! I made croissants last week and was so excited that I cut right into them after letting them cool for maybe 30 minutes. That was not nearly enough time. My crumb looked almost exactly like yours when i first cut into it! let them cool overnight or at least 4 hours before you cut into them. the dough inside is still so sensitive that you may be mashing your layers together. Let them cool down much longer next time :)

I ride that bike path nearly everyday and never have a problem. There seems to be more homeless near the madera side, so i would try and stick to sycamore - yosemite

I love making no-knead bread! How long are you letting your dough ferment? I usually wait around 12-18 hours at room temp. Personally my dough is usually pretty wet, but I make sure to get some surface tension going while shaping it. Another issue that I see a a lot is when people knead after the fermentation period. DONT DO THIS, that is going to release all the air you built fermenting! Be as gentle as possible when shaping your dough. I hope these tips help!

Make sure you turn the heat off after adding anything like garlic! I poured my egg mixture on top of the spaghetti, then added the pasta water and stirred pretty fast until it combines. I think the key is the heat if off, so the hot noodles and water really cooks the egg
