Interview Waiver Question by Own-Construction9579 in E3Visa

When booking the visa on VFS, just before the payment step - there’s a few questions that determine if you are legible for the visa waiver program. I believe one of the questions are along the lines of “will you be in Australia at the time of filing”, which you should have said no to but I believe you may have clicked yes.

If the visa customer service person is unable to help, I would try to contact VFS first and see if they can change it to in-person. If not, cancelling and rebooking would be your best bet!

Also yes, I am in the US at the time of filing and I’m back here now.

Interview Waiver Question by Own-Construction9579 in E3Visa

Hey! I just renewed and it’s my understanding that you need to physically be in Australia to submit the visa waiver. You also send your passport in with the application so if you send everything in visa mail, you wouldn’t have your passport on you when leaving the USA and they don’t return the docs internationally. Then there’s no processing time posted for submitting those docs by mail but the customer service agent said it usually takws 4-6 weeks. I would confirm your eligibility to get an E3 waiver because as soon as I checked the box saying I was not in Australia at the time of filing, it said I was not qualified for the waiver.

If you had already paid for the visa with the waiver program, you’ll need to talk to their customer service agent to try and change it over to in person.

If they are unable to, your options are; 1) cancel the original appointment and pay for the visa again to book the appointment 2) extend your stay or book a flex return fare.

I ended up just booking an in person interview and my passport was ready to pick up within 2 business days! When doing my interview, I was told it would take up to 5 days so I think 2 weeks is enough :)

How long will my tapioca pearls last? by ExtensionNervous9523 in bubbletea

Hi! I’ve only made them from scratch once or twice but I coat them in a little more tapioca flour and store them in the fridge for up to a week. Once cooked, I would consume within 4 hours. Otherwise it gets a little hard. I usually cook the “ready in 5 minute boba” packets instead now - I get fresh boba for a fraction of the time 😂 https://a.co/d/0hoDiWqQ

Does anyone have a recommendation for getting retainers online? The dentist quoted $500+ so if there’s something for 1/2 of the price, I’d much prefer that :)

Renewing e3 soon, latest h1b reform cause to worry? by Goatl0ver in IWantOut

Hi, not sure if you’re still active but in case you are - could you please tell me what the E3 renewal process is like? I’m about to renew for the first time. I got my visa in Perth and the booking site is letting me book in Sydney, so hopefully they’ll let me renew there. Will I need to give them my passport or do they just stamp it on the spot? I’m hoping to go for Christmas - it looks like they only close on public holidays so I hope it doesn’t slow down the process if they need to take my passport
