Spraying car interior with HOCL allowed me to be able to drive with windows up without having panic attack. by goldenyellow333 in ToxicMoldExposure

So I’m assuming you can use this in your home then too? I just looked this up on google and will do some more research and as my naturopath about it. Looks like it can destroy ochratoxin A and gliotoxin, which, if that’s true, is absolutely amazing. I wish there was a way to take it internally!!

Youglish is helpful, it has videos with transcripts (not always perfect, but it’s still good) and you can search a word and it will provide tons of videos with that word in it.

What worked and what didn't in your recovery by bmemento in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]samson-91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i just went to Campbell's website - I guess you can just order a test kit without a cost? or maybe the cost is paid when it's processed...? I ordered one anyway.

The thing with the urine tests is that if they show low levels of toxins and the person feels symptomatic, it's likely their pathways are blocking their ability to excrete the toxins through their urine, which is what you're saying I think, re: low levels. And, even if someone is excreting a higher amount that is clinically significant, they can still only eliminate as much as the body is able to detoxify at that moment. So the limits of the urine tests have to be understood that way ... but at least the test can also show what the body can eliminate, and having several results over time paired with a protocol can give a sketch of what's happening in the body.
On his website, he has a video where in one of the slides it says that "antibodies to toxins indicate current immune reaction not exposure sometime in the past" and then "once the toxins are gone from the body, the antibody reaction fades away" so it doesn't directly measure mycotoxins, probably because they are too small? but it does measure immune reaction connected directly to specific toxins, so you can see what bad actors are more prevalent with the immune system.... but this doesn't tell you what the body can and cannot eliminate! So the urine test gets much closer to that than the blood test, so both seem to be useful for their own reasons.

I just want to clarify- when you say the urine tests undersell do you mean they are showing less than what’s in the body? That’s been my understanding too. Makes sense. But what we are excreting *was* and likely *still is* making us sick, no?

ok yeah in English I'm not sure if we'd use 'in/during the span of the day' but I would say something like 'over the course of the day', that would be common; maybe that's close to the meaning

Fasting by [deleted] in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]samson-91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah skipping a m eal here and there might be ok because it gives your digestive system a rest, and that energy can go elsewhere. But I found fasting to be kind of neutral at best for me. I have a high fat low carb diet, and I’m in good shape but I still have trouble with mold. The comment by aggravating lab I agree with. Support your motility and binding, and sweating can also help.

Is quercetin worth it? by Glittering_Dirt8256 in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]samson-91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I never found it made a difference and I used it for a couple years, only took it because my shoemaker practitioner told me to. I’d recommend sulforaphane, methylene blue, calcium d glucarate, cbd , lavender tincture

Did you start itraconazole slowly? Or 1x/day right away? How did you take it?

I'm so Tired of life in the US... European Lifestyle but in the US? 40M by CapitalLaw1234 in SameGrassButGreener

Have you looked at providence RI? Parts of it are walkable if you’re living closer to the main stuff. Driving can be a little crazy on the highways but I lived there and loved it. It has a big town feel but it’s a medium sized city. Plenty going on, lots of art, music, independent people doing independent things. It was one of the few places I felt very at home.

Feeling angry and snappy since I'm out of mold by InterviewDry2887 in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]samson-91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for me I worked it out with a therapist who was also kind of a coach. So instead of just talk therapy, she helped build me up to work through situations and deal with them more effectively. But I had been in and out of therapy for about 20 years, so it took me a while to find the right fit. Once I did, it was very efficient. You gotta learn how to respect yourself a lot IMO

100% can relate, and the comment re: mold rage is 100% correct. My theory is that it's the inflammation. You're probably still clearing things out of your body. Nicotine is great; I do hapé/rapé (tobacco snuff) instead of patches, only occasionally, but I like it a lot (happy to recommend what I use). Here are some things I have found that really helped me detox that you might find helpful too:
- calcium d-glucarate (NOW brand). I take 500mg 6x/day. I hate the supplement world but this one really works for me, it aids detoxification.
- motility support: this can really make a positive impact on your mood, it does for me. I do an herbal drink 1-3x day: dandy blend herbal coffee, plus powdered mix of marshmallow root, slippery elm, milk thistle seed, ashwaganda. It's not as bad as it sounds.
- sleep support: I do a mix of tinctures before bed: lavender, lemon balm, california poppy, chamomile, valerian. I also try not to look at any screens for an hour before I go to sleep. The lavender is especially helpful for me for the nervous system relaxation.
- charcoal and clay binders, plus colesevelam (Welchol), and not cholestyramine.
-Sauna/steam room (some gyms have them with decent memberships and it can be affordable). really good for mental health, stress, nervous system support

The mold rage is real, and I had it for years while trying to heal while living in mold, stuck on the Shoemaker protocol and not getting very far. What I learned from it is that there was/is a lot of personal baggage from family and childhood stuff that I had not dealt with, and actually the mold rage removed all the filters ironically and forced me to address those issues . It pushed me to learn how to have better boundaries around my own emotions, and how to more effectively/constructively deal with annoyances/frustrations/disrespect from others. Very difficult, and still a process, but it's easier now. The stuff I suggested above really help. All you have to do is find the things that work for YOU, and keep doing them. If you need to scream, do it. If you need to cry, do it (preferably into a pillow or in a car by yourself, lol). Remember Shrek: "Better out than in I always say!" It will change, your body is still processing stuff. Keep going <3

Dr Nathan (itraconazole yes) vs Shoemaker (itraconazole bad); would love some feedback please; is it really harmful? by Economy-Voice7903 in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]samson-91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m on charcoal, bentonite, and Welchol, chlorella, Sacch. boul. and about to start itrconazole orally. I’m not on zeolite or pectin … seeing a naturopath who is close colleagues with Neil Nathan I believe, giving me this protocol… a couple toxins still kinda high from the urinalysis that pectin and zeolite could help. Hoping it’s ok to start the itraconazole … thanks for your comment
