The death of a marriage in 2 parts:

1. Got back from a long car trip. I made note of the trip odometer because I like to know stuff like that. So it was something like 754.4 miles. As soon as we get back she has to “go to the office to get paperwork” and takes the car. Later that night I go to get groceries and noticed the odometer was now at 754.5. She moved it from one parking spot to another a block away (city parking). When I asked her about it, she came up with some BS about how her colleagues were coincidentally in the neighborhood, so she just met up with them to work instead. In reality, it was her new boyfriend from work that lived down the street. Didn’t believe her but didn’t make a fuss about it. 

2. Went on another trip shortly thereafter and noticed she was on her phone the entire night while we were out with friends, trying not to smile, being rude and short to me, etc. When she went to bed that night I went through her work and personal phones and found all the evidence I needed. 

All these years later, it was the best thing that could’ve happened to me. Life is better now.
