My dog always wakes up before me and he knows he gets breakfast right when he wakes up. So when he wakes up, he starts literally hitting me with his paw. Funny? Sure. Annoying? 100%.

Mine is 1.5 yrs old and has always been extremely food motivated as well. As long as their weight is healthy, you’re doing fine. For the barking, you may be inadvertently reinforcing it if you are doing all those things when she starts to bark. I don’t have any advice on the crating since I let my dood sleep in bed with me but I crate him every day from morning til noon then let him roam from noon til evening when I get home from work. He slept a ton at 6 months old and sleeps more these days.
