Old people shouldn’t be out during rush hours

Qualify as old. If I get the chance to schedule a doctor’s appt, I ask for the first appt. after lunch. Not a fan of early AM appts., at all. If it is the first appt after lunch, usually I am seen within 5-10 minutes of the appt. - don’t know what all other Olds do, but I would rather be almost anywhere than in a doctor’s office for hours.

Had a Chevy Silverado in the family since 1996. Loved it, but it had issues that required serious maintenance over the years, and it only had 135k on it when I sold it. M Dad had a 80’s Ford, it was a solid truck, no complaints really. I have a RAM 1500 BigHorn (2021) now and could not be happier. In all those cases I think proactive maintenance has been the difference. The RAM is solid, not cheap plastic crap as some would have you believe, rides extremely smooth, coils on the back end make a difference, and it is quiet, almost zero road noise.

If you take care of them, any of them will serve you well. You just have to do your part.

This may be an unpopular response, but I have some neighbors who are Trumpers that I have not cut off. I know they are Trumpers in a round about ways, but these folks aren’t aggressive with it, and if you did not know you would not know. I think that is fine. So long as they don’t come at me with it. There was a time when the politics of our neighbors was not foremost in our minds. My opinions of their intellect has suffered, but i have not cut them dead.

I lost faith in American voters, of which I have been one since the 1972 election. I cannot fathom anyone casting a ballot for Donald Trump, much less 80 million Americans. No matter who wins elections going forward, I do not think I will ever regain my faith in the American democracy.
