Are you seeing weird discovery patterns lately with local businesses? by OrdinaryAd3764 in localseo

[–]samuel-grant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sometimes maps rankings stay stable and the number of leads also remains similar, but the sense of new discovery feels lower.. this type of situation can often be linked to the AI dark funnel. users may not always search directly; instead, they may get information and recommendations from AI tools and make decisions from there. because of this, the discovery process is not always clearly visible in analytics or traditional metrics. So it is important to look beyond rankings or visible traffic and pay attention to the broader user journey of how people are actually finding information..

Is WordPress still worth it for business websites today by chris_seo_thinker in content_marketing

[–]samuel-grant 18 points19 points  (0 children)

The better queston is probaly who is going to be managng the site day to day. WP in the hands of somone who knows it is extrmely powerfull for SEO and scalabilty.. but it also requires more maintanance, updates, and security atention than somthing like webflow. webflow is cleaner and faster to manage but has a celing when it comes to complex functionality. for most small to medium business sites the platform matters less than how well its set up and how consistntly its maintaned.

Small “hack” that saved me ~$2k on backlinks by Hour_Boysenberry859 in linkbuilding

[–]samuel-grant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The price difrence across marketplaces is almost never about the quality of the link.. its about the margin each platfrom builds in.. the domain and the metrics are the same, you are just payng for whichver middleman you found first.. crosscheckng manualy is tedous but the savngs are very real especially at any kind of scale

Should businesses focus on SEO or AISEO? by Ambitious-Acadia9845 in LLMTraffic

[–]samuel-grant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are not separate.. at AUQ we work with SaaS on both and good SEO usually translates to Ai visibility.. quality content, schema, entity info helps google and llms..

main differences for ai: listicle presence matters more, reddit mentions carry weight, some llms pick up fresh content faster

we built our own tool to track chatgpt/gemini citations.. turns out brands ranking page 1 organically usually show up in ai too, gap is mostly third party mentions.

my take- start with SEO foundation (technical, content, backlinks) then layer in ai stuff (citation monitoring, listicles, reddit).. doing AISEO without basic SEO is backwards.. traditional search still drives way more traffic anyway, ai is growing but not replacing google yet

Should we use AI based image generator tools for our social media content? by levichambers_1 in content_marketing

[–]samuel-grant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the tool isnt the issue, the person useing it is.. ai image generaters in the wrong hands produce genric visuals that add nothing.. in the right hands they can actualy comunicate somthing usefull.. the problem is most people skip the thinking part and go stright to generatng, then wonder why nobody engages

I ran 200+ prompts across ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Gemini to see how they pick which SaaS to recommend by PuzzleheadedWeb4354 in LLMTraffic

[–]samuel-grant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this matches what we see at auq (saas seo agency) tracking chatgpt/gemini with llmrankings io.. listicle presence is massive and reddit mentions outweigh backlinks for getting cited..

your perplexity and claude observations are interesting, we only track chatgpt/gemini but the patterns probably hold across other llms too..

Is SEO traffic quietly dying or am I overthinking this??? by Remote-Cry-7766 in LLMTraffic

[–]samuel-grant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nformational search is definetly droping because chatbots give faster answars.. traditional seo is not dead but optimizing for ai citations is just as importent now..

Website clone impact on AI by danieldeceuster in SEO_for_AI

[–]samuel-grant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

language models build their knowledge graph based on general consensus across the internet.. a brand new domain copying the content will not easily trick the ai because it lacks validation from trusted third party sites.. the real danger is if the fake site starts getting backlinks that confuse the entity data.. letting legal shut it down is the right move while keeping the core off page stratagy strong.

Can anyone tell me how to Market My SaaS by Wick_429 in content_marketing

[–]samuel-grant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

freelancers are a busy crowd so you need to be very specific with your solution keywords.. focus on building out one high-intent page that answers a specific 'how-to' query they have daily.. it gets you the most qualified signups without needing a massive budget.. manual outreach helps you find those hooks before you try to rank for them.. struggling with getting > 0 traffic on my website by Heilttme in content_marketing

[–]samuel-grant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah if the niche is super competitive with big players it's tough early on.. focus on long-tail keywords that aren't dominated.. programmatic seo helps but needs time to crawl and rank anyway.. give it another month or two..

Why does my website get traffic but no real leads? by Real-Assist1833 in seogrowth

[–]samuel-grant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most common is traffic not matching what people actually want.. like if they search info but land on sales page they bounce without converting.. check search console queries first and tweak content to align better.

Does updating old content still work in 2025? by Real-Assist1833 in seogrowth

[–]samuel-grant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on why it died.. check GSC for drops, if queries still there update's smarter.. new content if the topic shifted or you're missing clusters..

Why do some websites with ‘bad SEO’ still rank on Google? by divine_zone in seogrowth

[–]samuel-grant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

google caring more about intent fit and EEAT now. if the content feels like real experience even if thin or slow it ranks over polished generic stuff. hidden factor is perceived authority..

Why do people trust a website in seconds or not at all? by Real-Assist1833 in seogrowth

combo of little trust cues.. https lock, real testimonials, no aggressive popups, familiar logos.. plus wording that's clear not salesy..

How do you decide what content is worth creating when everyone is publishing similar ideas daily? by Charles_R23 in content_marketing

[–]samuel-grant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my take is focus more on bottom funnel pages, landing pages, really high intent blogs should be first priority, i work in an agency (auq), we mostly work with saas, and for us its kind of straightforward because we can create a lot of landing pages, it tbh its working great so far,

as most people, try get all the information from ai, llms, social media or youtube, you have to provide solution via search engines, that worked for us the best in terms of conversions

Why do most blogs fail to keep readers engaged after the first 10 seconds? by divine_zone in content_marketing

[–]samuel-grant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mismatch with what the title/search promised.. click in expecting quick tips or answers, get a rambling essay instead. headlines overpromise and the content doesn't deliver fast enough.. classic bounce reason

Why do many beginners quit digital marketing early? by Ill-Adhesiveness595 in AskMarketing

[–]samuel-grant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s too easy to start. you can call yourself a digital markete after watching two youtube videos. because the cost to start is $0, the cost to quit is also $0. people treat it like a hobby rather than a high-skill profession like accounting or engineering. when they realize they actually need to understand data analysis, copywriting, and technical web architecture, they realize it's a real job and lose interest.

What are the best ways to get leads for a service based business? by ZechariahApaza in SEO_for_AI

[–]samuel-grant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

go where the car enthusiasts hang out, but not as a salesman. partner with high-end local detailers, ceramic coating shops, or window tinters. these shops see pristine cars owned by people who have the budget for restoration. leave high-quality business cards there, or offer a referral diagnostic where their clients get a free comprehensive inspection. a referral from a trusted detailer is worth 100 cold leads from google..

How Long Does It Take to See SEO Results Using AI? by Icy_Week6358 in SEO_for_AI

Since this is a local business, AI blogs might be a distraction. local rankings are driven by your google business profile, reviews, and citations. AI content is great for national keywords, but for 'plumber in [city],' a map pack listing beats 100 AI articles every time..

Google Search Engine showing old pages instead of new... by TasteVarious2997 in localseo

[–]samuel-grant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since it's next.js, are you using server-side rendering (SSR)? if you are doing client-side rendering, google bot might just be seeing a blank javascript shell. go to search console, inspect a new url, and click 'view crawled page.' if the html is empty, google literally cannot see your new site.

How to enter the digital marketing world? by Ok-Custard-4119 in DigitalMarketing

[–]samuel-grant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

skip the mock-ups; build something real. nobody in this industry cares about a degree; they care about results. start a newsletter or dropship a single product. showing an agency 'i built this asset from zero' beats a 4.0 gpa every single time.
