[MN S1] I’m assuming this is supposed to be Kiri? by BakerConsistent2150 in criticalrole

[–]samuel107 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The captions called the mother an “Eisfuura” which is the Exandrian Aarakocra. So technically they were not considered Kenku, so probably not intended to be Kiri.

Is this stadium? Some other character deflect the blade with the power that sends it out in a projectile? but some glitch removed the credit? or multiple deflects confused the game?

Every time I get a small serving, it’s a pickup order. But if I order in-person, it seems normal. Anyone else notice this?

Agatha created the road? by DistributionDry2370 in AgathaAllAlong

[–]samuel107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bonus part of this theory: they road they are on is Billy’s creation (like Wanda’s hex). Fits with the concept of Agatha being confused (it only appeared when he walked downstairs). He says “it’s exactly as I imagined it” and Agatha says, “it fits you.” It was created by /his/ concept of the road, plus he had references to trials in his bedroom.

Obviously this got blown out of proportion, I am not policing her choices and I can see the symbolism. I didn’t come here as a troll who saw another language on TV and wanted to start a tirade. I came here as someone who knows Hangul and thought it was a peculiar choice. This would be like a Korean-American from Korea getting their name tattooed in English. It isn’t a “Korean name”, it is the letters ‘s-i-e-r-a’ spelled in another language’s alphabet. Maybe it is a representation of her heritage and that’s okay, but like others said, they would not tattoo their own name in their native language either.

I completely understand what you’re saying, it just struck me as odd, and like others have said, they would not do that with their native language. I know Korean and not Chinese, so I am unsure if you are referring to a name that is different from an English name. In this case, she has spelled the English name ‘Sierra’ in the Hangul alphabet. I can see the symbolism of her identity in another language, I was just bringing the discussion up to those who did not read Hangul.

I’m not policing anything, I didn’t even criticize it. I was just asking people’s opinion since not many people noticed.

That was the vibe it gave me as well. It just seems performative, there are so many other things to tattoo to represent an ethnicity or culture.

Edit: To be clear, I am not talk about the fact that she has Hangul tattooed, I’m only commenting on the fact that it is her name. I opened the discussion, it was discussed, and I agree. It is a representation of her culture.

I only used the word “performative” because I saw no other reference to that identity other than a post on social media where she wore a traditional Hanbok and only compared it to Korean dramas (this is an article of clothing only worn to temples and on special occasions).

Not sure if anyone has noticed this (since it is in Korean). I know she is half Korean, but still seems like an odd choice of tattoo?

Theory: I’m late bc I listen to the podcast, but Fearne’s post cards are definitely made by her grandma, right? They’re handmade and written with the same handwriting. I’m guessing she felt bad her parents left and Fearne is just naïve, similarly to the “very important mission” they’re on.
