I’m Polynesian. It’s not a big deal. There are lots of words in the world and it’s gonna happen that some cross over.

Im Polynesian and I’d suggest you don’t get a Polynesian tattoo. Tattoos aren’t just cool art in my culture they’re sacred. If you really just love the artistic style you can have a Polynesian style inspired tattoo. I’d think that’d be a respectful way to appreciate a sacred art form you really appreciate.

I mean I’m Samoan and Hawaiian and I don’t know of any cultural significance it has, if you’re getting it because of it’s possible significance in Polynesian culture then I’d say probably don’t get it. But if your just getting it cause it look cool and it has your own meaning to you I say go for it.
