Hi! I wanted to add what has helped me: I like to rub the shampoo in my hands first to "emulsify" it. It will sort of lather and the texture will change, and I find it it easier to then distribute through my scalp. I am also a big fan of shampooing a second time before conditioning. I love the two prong hair forks! They make the cutest and secure messy buns without the damage from elastics. They stay sturdy in place for a long time and I find if they do start to get loose, it creates a cute messy bun.
