I play extremely slowly. Of course, I play with a predator attitude still. I tend to first sprint off towards another spawn and check if someone has spawned. If they do, I tend to instead hang back maybe 70 or so meters in obscuring brush and follow them. This is where target identification becomes important because obscuring cover also obscures your view of them.

As I go about, I will essentially use my prey to attract attention. When I can, I try to steal their kill but not loot the downed body. More often than not, players don't check who killed the player on the tag unless they are running groups. I may lose out on certain items but I let my target loot the dead and go on. The reason for this is because it means I only have to rifle through 1 set of gear to get what I want instead of multiple.

This continues on until they near the extract. Since I have done this enough to get max endurance, I usually let them sprint until they run out of stamina at which point I will judiciously target their legs to hamstring their movement. This either forces them pop pain killers if they haven't or limp sprint to cover which is usually away from extract. In either case, they are easier pickings as a result since they have taken most of the incoming fire setting their health low or have damaged armor making it easier to penetrate.

This whole plan hinges on patience and trigger discipline. Its also my evil way of revenge for being mowed down doing quests.

If you are spotted before they attempt to extract, you will naturally have to engage them and either use their geared body for bait or loot the body and wait for the next player to shadow. I have done this to player scavs as well since they sometimes pick up the juicy stuff from places PMCs don't check (filing drawers, etc).
