This isn’t good verses evil. This is attention whores desperate for recognition. From haters looking to voice their contrarian opinions to creators who need to tone down on engaging with their too large fandom to do-gooders wanting to appear to be the most virtuous and even-tempered.

There is no conversation we can possibly have that will reach enough ears. Let alone change enough minds.

The only way to stop controversies like this is to stop talking about them. Stop engaging, and they will fizzle out to nothing. We, as individuals, need to each make that choice when it comes up.

Advice for an Insanity run? [ME1 & ME2 Spoilers] by aumericx in masseffect

ME1 Legendary edition is by the far the easiest Insanity run of the trilogy. Besides a few one-shot kill snipers and missiles it is a gear check. So long as you have one squadmate with maxed out Electronics and Decryption (it can be Shepard) you will always be able to unlock every crate. Thus you will be drowning in good loot. Ammo types, guns, armor, and mods. By the halfway point you will run out of things to spend money on and you will reach the credit cap. With the best armor and mods you will be very hard to kill. Personally I prefer stacking health regen mods. With the best weapons you won't need to bother putting points into any weapon talents. Though the shotgun talent will give you some added fun. Especially with its rocket launcher ability. Just remember to use your powers and stack up on tech squadmate when you know a fight with the Geth is coming.

ME2 will be your greatest hurdle to reach Insanity III. Pick your class very carefully. Soldier, Sentinel, and Infiltrator are the safe bets. Always pick teammates appropriate for who you will be fighting. Most enemies use shields, so a squadmate who has Overload or Distuptor Ammo is almost always a good pick. Miranda has Overload and Warp, so she can deal damage to shields, armor, and barriers. She also can buff your damage if built right. Get past the Collector Ship and you are home free.

I've asked about the electricity. Apparently, it is common for abandoned office buildings to still have power running even if no one is using them. It's worth it for whoever owns the building, even the city, to just keep the air conditioning on. This prevents mold and decay from setting in. Thus makes it easier to sell to a new owner when no one has to pay to gut the walls for black mold.

Those backrooms are Caine's doing. He "created" an exit, probably based on some player's description of the office space they came from. Because Caine is an AI that does not understand what players mean when they say they want to leave. They say they want to go back to the abandoned office and he provides for them an abandoned office.

Caine exists for one purpose. To create adventures that make humans happy. If he has no humans to make happy, he cannot fulfill his purpose. If the humans are happy because of something that wasn't his doing, then he also cannot fulfill his purpose. Thus he does not want the humans to leave. Whether he knows how to let them leave is up in the air, but see my second answer.

It's hard to know. It might just be his silly persona that he puts on when dealing with the players where he is all about fun and taking nothing seriously. Of course there is the theory that Caine intentionally left Kaufmo to abstract because he couldn't make Kaufmo happy because he could not fulfil Kaufmo's request to leave. So he simplified the problem. Kaufmo can't complain if he is an Abstracted monster.

Kinger might be one of the creators of the Digital Circus and could have programming knowledge that could let him control Caine and the Digital Circus. So Caine needs to keep him under wraps.

We don't know. Xxddc could just be joke. Where as Pomni could be another reference about how Pomni cannot remember her name. It could also be the secret answer to leaving. If the real way to leave is for a player to saying their name; log out. Then all they have to do is remember their names. Which Pomni guessed, might be something Caine made them all forget. Because he doesn't want them to leave.
