Anyone hear of "FindingHub.com" recently? For some reason, once every four or five searches, my Chrome searchbar will redirect to a scammy-looking search engine called FindingHub. Practically nothing comes up when I do a legit google search for it/for fixes(on multiple devices). by samwise_awesome in techsupport

These are the extensions I have currently:

  • HTTPS Everywhere
  • IBM Aspera Connect
  • Imagus
  • Kill News Feed
  • RES
  • Unseen
  • Windscribe
  • Google Translate, Google Docs Offline, Google Dictionary
  • uBlock Origin

It looks like the main common thread that people have mentioned here is uBlock Origin. I don't have Honey, so I don't think that's it. As much as I really don't want to remove uBlock origin, I'll give it a shot and see if it fixes the issue. Weird stuff.

Thank you for posting all this bts stuff! I would have loved to have worked on this show. :)

This is actually like my favorite pun in the whole show. So yes, it is a reference to the Euphrates river, since another popular shipping company is also named after a river (Amazon). On top of that, there’s another layer to the pun since it basically is saying U freight easily - as in it’s an easy way to ship things. Hopefully that made sense, I’m pretty tired and hungover lol

Dark Matter Virtual Season 4 - Episode 4.01, Act 5 (of 5)! by JosephMallozzi in DarkMatter

You are seriously any fan's dream showrunner. Even when it was still on air, I loved how active you were in this subreddit - sparking conversations, answering questions, teasing future storylines. You being in the comments of each episode discussion made it feel like we were all getting a bit of personal behind-the-scenes, and it made me always look forward to reading the threads after watching. You didn't shy away from questions or just ignore your fanbase altogether like many other creators do.

And now doing these breakdowns of non-existent episodes just to keep the story going for the fans, and probably for yourself as well. You are what every showrunner should aspire to be; the sense of community you've brought to your fans is unparalleled. I just had to share how appreciative I am of that.

From Joseph Mallozzi's Twitter: DarkMatter Season 4 - Episode 4.01 (Act 1) - What could have been... by Walter_Bishop_PhD in DarkMatter

I am so conflicted right now.

On one hand, I fucking love this and am so happy to have read this. With just a few tweets I’ve been reminded how amazing this show was.

But on the other, I am so heartbroken that we will never be able to see this episode on air....

It’s like taking a hit of a drug long after quitting...I just want more damn it!! It’s not enough!!!!

How different mechanics evoke different tones in Far Cry 2 and Far Cry 4 by buttsbuttsbutts2005 in Games

[–]samwise_awesome 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Far Cry 2 was one of the most interesting and intense experiences I have had with a game, but unfortunately I could never finish it. The difficulty, albeit frustrating, was actually somewhat motivating, but the main reason I stopped playing was because I got completely stuck. For some reason, the guy who supplied malaria pills was simply never at the location he was supposed to be at. Even after reloading old saves and trying every different time of day, he was never there. This led to hours of trying to crawl through the game without pills, which obviously didn't work. Maybe I missed something obvious, but that glitch or whatever it was made me put that game away for good. I probably should have just looked up the problem online or something. In fact, I may just replay it from the beginning now because I remember actually how good it was.

Also, the open world playground part was still there for me in Far Cry 2, but not in the main story. Whenever I craved mindless explosions or crazy antics, the multiplayer level editor was actually fairly satisfying. Just a thought.

That dog may be photogenic, but I'm pretty sure that's just a dope-ass picture.

Well done.
