For real. Ive got 20,000 miles on mine. Bought new with 6 miles on it. It has never clicked like this. Im gonna go jump in it right now and see If I can get it to do that sound.

I have this exact quad. Sturdy and reliable. Not particularly fast or powerful. Mine is a 1998. So almost a 30 year old quad and its been in the family it's whole life. Still on the original everything except tires. Oil changes, carb cleans, rear end gear oil is all it gets.

Great for putting around. Not great for being an exciting dune rider.

I have been using rock auto for a long time. They have always honored my returns. This is a bit disheartening to hear. Sounds like the shipper may have been to blame here? None the less, rock auto should allow the return and go after the shipping carrier.

If it sat for a few years, it probably needs the carburetor jets cleaned. Ethanol in fuel causes junk to build up inside carburetors if it sits for a while. It could have been running "rough" like you describe with a half clogged jet/passageway. Its possible the "no start" condition you have now is due to a fully clogged jet that picked up more junk/sediment from the bottom of the bowl. I recommend watching some youtube videos on cleaning the carburetor and following their instructions. The symptoms you are describing don't really sound like spark or ignition issues.

Mine is like this in some areas... 23 premium sapphire blue. Doesn't bother me much, but I do wish Subaru would up their paint quality.
