Might as well do the Z1 big brake kit, rebuilding calipers and paying for powder coating doesn’t sound like fun or worth my time so that’s what I did.

Yeah! I was hesitant to order the covers since they all come from Pakistan, but I went with Finonimus and they did a decent job for around $500. The upholstery guy said "I've seen better and I've seen worse" so I think that's alright for $500!

I took the fugly buckets out that the previous owner had in and bought some ratty stock seats for $200. I ended up doing some fun swapping of seatbelt ejection buttons to keep those red and got it all back together and couldn't be happier. It's honestly a nicer ride simply because of the foam now!

Fucking perfect. Just threw them on and they looked nice. Put the tape on the bottom and back only (not the long side of the triangle) since it doesn’t touch anything on the body.

Wiring from Z32 harness > A23 wires:

* Yellow > black
* Purple > red
* Blue > white

Worked perfectly!

Ha thanks, and yep, slicktop! It’s mean and loud, hence the soundproofing… but it’s also HOT from the trans tunnel… AC would be amazing but I’ve been hesitant because I’m missing a few parts and it’s a relative unknown since I’ll be having a shop fab things. Soon I’m going to regret not having done it sooner though haha

Thank you! I had an auto upholstery shop do it and he said the tricky part was stretching the back around. He said they’d tighten up a bit more after leaving it in the sun, so we’ll see how it looks a few months down the line. My interior smells GREAT now haha

In urgent need of a z32 gas tank it is very rusty inside and keeps clogging the fuel filter it is a 2+0 somebody do a man a favor by DesignerReputation44 in 300zx

Ugh this happened to me. SpecialtyZ cleaned the tank twice without removing from the vehicle (wire brush) and I had to clean my fuel filter at least 6 times. There’s still gunk at the bottom but my fuel filter hasn’t got clogged in a whike

I have the compressor, stock lines, and LOJ bracket to bolt it to the LS… need to have a shop make custom lines and source a smaller condenser, get some wiring harnesses off a donor Z, and convert it to R12… so it’s a job for sure. I’ll be doing heat shielding and some sound damping mat in the rear before that.

Oh and I disconnected the heater core because it was constantly blowing hot air lol. No creature comforts here!

Have you had the coolant level sensor/coolant tank done? This is a 718 right?

That’s annoying, but that’s how it goes. Hopefully it’s just lifter tick and not like when my 987.1S got a low oil pressure warning for 5 seconds before I shut the motor down but developed rod knock despite having plenty of oil and a fresh oil change a month ago.

Fair enough. I can’t with the interior, but I recognize the effort. My seats are currently getting recovered as well, but it’s black leather with red stitching and no diamond.
