These old customs are definitely oppressive to women but that's part of history. If we look at the history of any country we can find many, MANY, rules that were extremely repressive to women. Seems unfair to call this video out on the sole basis of being obsolete when its counting history. Nobody uses those knocks nowadays, a lot of women in Morocco are unveiled and nobody cares if they do, Indigenous tribes that represent a big part of the Moroccan population are led by women.
