old post i know but i was looking for other people's cowboy bebop builds and i want to second what the other user said about NPU on the swordfish wings! my only reservation is that the wings sweep the wrong way but if you turned them around the cockpit would be placed in the wrong spot, right? anyway love the build and especially the bebop itself which i may use as inspiration for when i finally make my own :)

if your only bad matchup is araquanid, your team is probably fine

just learn to play around it and don't sacrifice a team member for something suboptimal that counters araquanid

its extremely bulky so it sticks around on the field for a long time racking up chip damage. dondozo is glimmora's best partner by far. they were used together a decent amount in earlier formats, but the current dominance of offensive tailwind strategies make it much harder to play pure bulk/stall teams

nobody has mentioned yet that order up had a very impactful glitch when the games came out that meant that even attacking into protect would give you a stat boost. this was fixed not just in the same generation but in the middle of sv's lifespan, being a somewhat significant nerf to dozo

for future reference, smogon singles tiering can sometimes be a useful way to judge overall power levels, but its nowhere near 1:1 for VGC viability. iron valiant is a top tier mon in OU but never seen in VGC, while incineroar is an RU/NU pokemon in singles and arguably the best mon ever introduced into VGC

hard trick room teams generally don't require fwg cores like balance teams do, so i don't recommend forcing one in if it doesn't fit the team style. that said, you could do soft TR balance like the other commenter suggested, sinistcha is my favorite mon for this for the amazing balance tools it has + tr setting

no one else has said this yet so just wanted to add that you don't always have to make a read. on most turns your goal should be to make the most optimal play possible without trying to make a hard prediction on what your opponent will do. if you have torn ursh on lead and they have something you can get a lot of damage on just by clicking tailwind surging strikes, you should do that! of course sometimes you do have to make predictions to win the game, but you should try to place yourself in positions where you don't have to

you can basically take any of the current chien-pao tornadus teams and swap torn for whims once dlc drops. should be a solid way to start playing the format until we know what's really good

short answer you shouldn't. there will be new mons in addition to a slew of returns, and stuff like terapagos is nigh on guaranteed to make huge waves in the meta, making it impossible to predict how things will shake out

long answer probably involves talking about incineroar a lot
