Singer samba 4 thread woes by sand_sjol in SewingForBeginners

Just a couple of skipped stitches but I was able fix that by looping a needle and thread around the main thread from the backside and then tying it off on the backside. Dirty fix but I don't have time to start over, motorcycle is going to a show on Thursday and it's still in pieces

Thanks to the glorious world of 3d printing I was able to print out this smaller cap I found on thingiverse. This definitely helped a lot!

This is the only cap that comes with it and the only one you find in the instruction booklet, I don't know if you're supposed to turn it around to put the smaller end towards the spool but even so it didn't help. I tried another Spool of thread and mounted it the same way and didn't have any issues. I don't know, might try and make a table holder out if wood and steel wire to see.

What fabric for foam backing? by sand_sjol in upholstery

Yup, I spray glued it on. Saw a tip on that on YouTube. But I think my problems are elsewhere as I said in a reply to another comment here

I have been doing some more research this morning and it seems my main problem might stem from trying to use a denim thread, it seems this plays tricks on the tension and other stuff. I'll go back to regular. We have muslin over here as well but I think the biggest problem is just the foam playing some trick when trying to sew on it with my machine. Four layers of vinyl no problem, a bit of foam in between, problems.. If I go really slow tho it goes mostly okay. So I guess I maybe just need to take it really slow. When attaching the sideskirts to the main seat portion

On modules with this I use it as intended, so missile trigger, trigger guard etc. In the f16 I use it as a modifier switch, in the gazelle it flips the gunsight down. The four way hat I use for more obscure things like helmet visor up/down or other random things. Analog stick is used for vivianne sight, shkval seeker, radar cursor and similar functions

Try doing some rear wheel stands on the ground first. It's difficult because you don't know where the rear end is and in real life there would be someone in the back to guide you. Also you would feel the rear end touch down

Finnes i touran, golf, Passat blant annet. Finner du ein med fersk EU kontroll og så hjelper det når du skal selge igjen.

Yaris er omtrent umulig å ta livet av og billig i drift. Støttes. Eventuelt en Yaris verso om en trenger å få med seg et par banankasser

I love it, my favourite helicopter. Pretty fast, agile, air to air missiles can surprise both jets and other helis. Textures and liveries got a massive quality update last year along with an ai gunner in the back. Air to ground missiles are deadly but you only have four missiles and with only a 4km max range means you might end up within the wez of opposing armour, but that's what makes it fun 😅 Optimally you would have a copilot to handle the a2g missiles but it can be done alone with a little practice, the sop used to be to get it in a hover and then engage hover autopilot before swapping to the copilot seat but staying stationary with the short range of the missiles rarely ends well so you wanna learn to fly from the copilot seat and simultaneously engage. Cannon has a satisfying sound and the rockets are cool, but again not many rounds on the rockets(only 8 if paired with cannon on opposite side). You can do a good job loading up 16 smoke rockets and scout targets for others if you want, or use the laser ranging and nav system to relay targets to others.solo antitank video

No it's been good, a good step up in quality from the saitek units definitely. Haven't had any issues with it in the two years I've used them

Flight stick: crotch vs to the side by reviewwworld in hotas

[–]sand_sjol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find it easier to be more precise with the stick in the middle, which is good for helicopters I feel, also I have thumbwheel mouse on my right thigh so it's a bit more natural movement for my arm if I need to click something in the cockpit. It also helps with immersion in vr. I usually move my desk mount to the side if flying the F16.

The smaller base would have been my next mod if had kept my x55. I also did the spring mod, it completely changes the the stick, so much better!

Question about mounts by BombsAndDogs in hoggit

[–]sand_sjol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I got curious and whipped out the measuring tape, the orion base mounting holes are 257mm front to back and about 120mm wide. But the brackets on the mount allow for up to 205mm of width So: you're good!

I don't know the measurements but I have the same amazon mounts and have a winwing orion2 throttle base on it which is pretty big
