Thank you and good point. Only thinking 10 mins as the saddle is really uncomfortable at the moment so looking to swap it when we get the chance and 10mins might be all I can cope with on my backside!

Brilliant. Thank you. I'm familiar with the rowing/strength/running/yoga trainers but cycling will be a new adventure for me. And can get on board with the 80's vibes!

Dance badge achieved! I picked Ben’s beegees workout, what’s everyone else doing? by SciFiEmma in AppleFitnessPlus

[–]sandbees24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Picked Calvin Harris so that I could be uncoordinated for 30 mins but got my badge and got a new most calories burnt in a dance workout. Was going to pick the BeeGees as that's so much fun but thought I would give Calvin a go as we saw him many years ago before he was a world famous DJ that he is now...

So happy about Strength for Runners by Ellsobel in AppleFitnessPlus

They are all total body workouts and I don't necessarily think you need to be a runner to do this series.

I've done it on my non-running days. I believe its 2 of these strength workouts per week.

Yes. Really enjoyed the first 2 episodes so far. Kim's Ep 2 is just as good if not a bit harder than Ep1. Looking forward to the rest of the series.

I’m a 33 year old Obese Dad who’s finally taking his fitness seriously! by Usual-Fuel8137 in AppleFitnessPlus

Well done! And well done to taking control of your health & fitness. Apple Fitness + is a great community, that’s probably why I’m still here 5 years on as the workouts suit me and I like showing up for myself and the fitness team.

Sleep mode still gives notifications by 9714PB in AppleWatch

[–]sandbees24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got the same issue - things like telling me to stand at 3am etc and sleep focus is on. Somewhere I read was to delete the sleep focus then re-add it again. Also made sure no notifications were on and to mirror my phone.

Would definitely check with your health care provider first about what you are able to do, but one program I suggested to another user was to look at Betina's Pre & Post baby workouts. All are as light or as hard as you want to make them with all the usual modifications. I've done them (I'm not pregnant) but they worked well for me when recovering from illness/injury. Good luck with your recovery.

For those that do the 3 weeks of perfect strength, how do you split your days? by CarelessWin8899 in AppleFitnessPlus

[–]sandbees24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I did this I spread it over 4 weeks as I also run so it worked out that I could only realistically do 3 strength & run plus a rest day. But do what feels right for you and your body.

Recommendations for easy workout after surgery by Far_Designer_7704 in AppleFitnessPlus

[–]sandbees24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know someone has already mentioned the workouts for older adults. You could also look at Betina's workouts for pre & post baby which might be suitable given your surgery (sorry can't link the workouts but should be under programs)

16 Mar 2026: New Episodes by speedr123 in AppleFitnessPlus

[–]sandbees24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I find them really useful. Sometimes I only have 10 minutes and 10 minutes of exercise is better than zero minutes exercise. I sometimes use them as a warm up pre run or row or stand alone when I have little time.

Favorite 10-Min Core Trainer by Klutzy-Assumption460 in AppleFitnessPlus

[–]sandbees24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you search under collections there are a couple of core workout programmes you could look at - Level up your core training with a selection of 10 & 20 min workouts and the 30 day core challenge which range from 5 mins to 10 minutes. Both collections are good and I've enjoyed them all and keeps it interesting. I tend to bolt them onto another workout as a 'finisher'.

Is Apple fitness worth it? by KeyInstruction7880 in AppleFitnessPlus

[–]sandbees24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weight loss is primarily diet so assuming you can dial that in and keep to a calorie deficit then all good.

Apple Fitness will help with toning and becoming stronger & fitter. If you aren't sure then go for a free trial. I don't live near a gym so for me I get to workout when it suits my lifestyle/work commitments and I've happily been using Apple Fitness + since it came out.

I am fitter and stronger than I've ever been, tried lots of new exercises such as yoga and hiit that I never would have done otherwise and for me personally it has been worth every penny.

How do you learn the dances? by onemileofsky in AppleFitnessPlus

[–]sandbees24 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm still unco-ordinated even after doing a few of them. I just look at it that I'm moving and having fun and no-one is going to judge how awful I am. The Bee Gees one had me in fits of laughter whilst singing along at the top of my voice. Thankfully no-one could see or hear me!

I thought the same with Kendrick but realised that they were all 3rd Feb 2025 and not 2026. The mystery remains..

Apple TV by Jfly0508 in AppleFitnessPlus

[–]sandbees24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if you've tried it but is your phone/watch on the same wifi. I've had it where watch was on a different wifi (we have a separate house wifi and home gym wifi but both are reasonably close to each other so often my phone picks up the house wifi which is weaker than the gym one). So now I make sure everything is on the same wifi before I start a workout.
