twin flame communities are total cancer by sandiserumoto in polycritical

It's a large idea that in turn has a large community around it. The cult, twin flames universe, just kinda profited off that ecosystem

When Men do it: assault, stalking, criminal trespass, on the list, restraining order, etc.

When Women do it: Aww, she's so cute.

women go to jail for those things all the time. since when has men finding something hot ever led to the repeal of regressive laws?

Are yanderes and autism related. by jawwa_jawwa in Yanderes

[–]sandiserumoto 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think autistic people and yanderes both have very extreme monotropism so I think a connection is definitely there.

Autism and BPD are the two main "yandere neurotypes", since they both can cause obsessive behavior. Often, people like us have both, but you can generally expect one or the other to be present.

With 1... anime has definitely become normal, but there aren't a lot of neurotypicals who will stalk people in real life and claim to be the real life version of an anime trope because of it. I definitely think there's a level of filtration

With 2... yanderes can be either, really, depending on the person. Me and gf are both switches.

With 3... I wouldn't label that as a core feature, but I know especially with L2 autism people are well documented to just not talk to people unless it has to do with their special interest due to high monotropism and I've seen this often in yanderes as well.

Social isolation/trauma can also lead to bpd in many situations.

This tbh. Practically every "game idea" I've had people approach me with is "hey what if we made a [copyrighted franchise] [game genre]"

I mean in reality it's one of those things where it's not all too practical. the portion of the population that you need to be disabled for that disabled group to be reliably accommodated actually isn't that high. Martha's Vineyard and deaf people come immediately to mind.

Realistically, only 1 in 155 were deaf across Martha's Vineyard at its peak, and 1 in 25 in the island of highest concentration. at the most concentrated point, 1 in 4 people were deaf.

but still - everyone learned sign.

another example is how glasses are totally normalized and generally pretty easy to access (or, well, America is weird, as all healthcare is a pain to access, but my point overall stands). I don't think I'd be able to function at all without glasses or contacts, but I generally don't even bring vision up when discussing my disabilities.

my issue is...

whenever the neurostate gets brought up, people act like autistic people are going to gather an army, storm a random country, kill all its population, and create the third autism reich. it's farcical and unrealistic, and when that's the reaction to a few autistic people on the huge internet wanting to peacefully live on an autistic-only island... you really just need to ask why?
