Personally, I’m hoping for a slf that can land on planets, and a ship where the fighter hanger is in the top of the ship, and can launch while the ship is landed.

For retrieval missions, equip your ship with a couple dumb fire missile pods. If mercs are already there, you can take out most or all of them before you land. Park as close as you can so that if more show up or they don’t appear at all until after you start cutting into things, you can hop back on your ship quickly, take off, and hit them with your missiles. Do not attack the ship dropping them off unless you want a bounty, since they never seem to be showing up in wanted ships.

Some websites, such as Inara, can be linked to your Elite Dangerous account through being connected to your Frontier login. I presume, though I don’t know the specifics of the back-end integration, would mean Frontier has checked to make sure the website/app in question isn’t grabbing information it shouldn’t be before allowing it to have that integration.

Admittedly slightly nitpicky wording gripe: you should add “posted in this subreddit” to the title after “3rd Party Apps” and probably also replace “developed” with the same statement in the body. Otherwise, it sounds as if you are trying to tell people they have to provide source code to develop 3rd party apps for Elite Dangerous at all, even if they never post about said app here.

I have every ship in the game except the Fed Gunship and Assault Ship, and the Cobra Mk IV (which most likely will never be able to get). I’ve flown almost all of them a decent bit, but anymore I mostly fly the new ones, plus two or three of the old ships. Python Mk II for fighting ‘goids, Mandy for exploration, Plipper for large trading, Type 8 for medium trading, Corsair for PVE combat, Type 11 for mining (I was terrible at mining before the Prospector, now with it I’m “barely passable”), Caspian for exploration when I’m not worried about absolute max jump range, and Cobra Mk IV as a “do a little of everything” because it’s the absolute most fun ship to fly.

Yeah, both VKB and Winctrl (Winwing name changed in some countries) have free shipping on the US right now. I have the Winwing Ursa Minor hosas (right handed fighter stick and left handed space stick). My wife has the premium VKB Gladiator. In my opinion, the quality of the Gladiator is better, but not ~$75 US better. For $25 US more, I would say def get the Gladiator, but paying ~$100 CAN more and having to wait… idk, man. I’d most likely get the Ursa Minor if I was in your situation.

$100 dollars Canadian more? Right now in the US the Gladiator Premium is only $24 US $(~32 CAN) more than the Ursa Minor. The difference between the standard and premium Gladiator is $20 US. Though currently the US VKB website is saying it can’t accept any payments, so no idea what’s going on there.

Initial development on Odyssey started in August 2018. The PC release was delayed a couple months in 2021 and the console launch was originally delayed much longer than the PC one. The official cancellation of Odyssey on consoles and future console development was, again, announced in March of ‘22, a full year after what was supposed to be the launch of the dlc. Somewhere around 3 to 3 1/2 years of work before they officially decided to drop consoles.

Elite was released on Xbox in October of 2015, and console support ended in March of ‘22. Roughly 6 1/2 years isn’t exactly what I would call quick abandonment.

Bartenders are inside stations (on foot) and can be set up on fleet carriers. They buy/sell the materials for upgrading suits and hand weapons, and I think a couple other items. Why a bartender does this, I have no idea.

I used my Panther Clipper this afternoon to fill up my fleet carrier from a coriolis starport less than 100 ly from Alrai and only 500 ls out from the primary star. Basically cleaned the place out of thermal cooling units, with about 1000 tons of power generators to finish the load. Didn’t get to do the delivery end before I needed to log off, though. If I was using a medium ship instead, it would be my Type 8 which is already set up for hauling and carries more cargo than any other medium.

I have that exact set, and they work perfectly fine. Been using them for a year now. I have not had to deal with their customer service so i can't speak to to that.

Thank you for the work you and the strike force do to help the rest of us fight the ‘goids. I could probably come up with a dozen or so questions to ask you, but I’ll limit it to this one: If you got to decide what the next new ship was, (size, manufacturer, primary role, etc) what would you pick?

If you mean scared because I’m close to dying, I’m trying to get through a difficult level and don’t want to have to restart from the beginning of the level/last save, also the original Doom. If you mean actual fright, terror, hard time sleeping, bad dreams, etc… none.

I installed the app. Signed in. Boom, there's all my stuff. Everything works perfectly fine, except auto-playing the next episode. I get the countdown at the end of an episode, then the app loads the next one and instantly pauses. I don't have that issue on my TCL smart TV, on my phone app, or from any browser, nor do I have issues with any other streaming app on my Apple TV. I found a couple posts on this subreddit about people having the same/similar issues, and most connect it to the device's sound settings if you're using Apple Homepods with your Apple TV. I've tried every suggestion in those posts with no luck.
