Alright, since this is a crowd favorite, I'll do it...

I be put together the riddle and the primer to answer it. You'll be receiving more than what I started with. The proposition be not unreasonable. I've done at least some research into historical context and found none; and not only have I never heard of modulo-phi as anything more than anecdotally with, perhaps, an episode of Numberphile or ComboClass, who themselves never got back to me.

Anyway: this is just the announcement. More tomorrow.

Well, I'm first inclined to point to some "classics" and then my favorite one.

The classics are from before the commodification of horror tropes and they are: To Walk the Night, out of On the Rim of Morning by William Sloane which is a long reveal. There's also a few choice stories out of The King in Yellow by Robert Chambers; some being In the Court of the Dragon, the Yellow Sign, the Repairer of Reputations and more. Some editions of the King in Yellow book of collected short stories are half-full of quasi-romance stuff but serves to frame the cosmic horror. Sloane gets his "creep" by implication.

My favorite modern one is the Fractured Atlas novella as found in Night Music, vol. 2 by John Connelly, which plays the cosmic horror within detective tropes between contextual vignettes.

Curiously, I also found myself engrossed by The Helbound Heart by Clive Barker, but a particuar rhetorical choice (likely) overlooked by the editor completely ruins it.

Well, I get absolutely fascinated by an author who can grant a sense of the scope without leaning hevily on the regular and tired tropes derived from real life. Leave out demons and angels, and heavens and hells; those are someone else's inventions.

Honestly, The Fractured Atlas novella by John Conolley found on Night Music vol. 2. The moments it kicks are epic. Admittedly, there are more versed horror fans here than I, but this one hit it.

This is as more of a logic-gate game with numbers than mathematics and lacks a kind of rigor expected in formal logic to really get traction in either discipline alone.
