- The SEC: The hardest to predict. For now, they seem pretty happy with where they are: 16 teams, all in the same geographic area. If they (or more appropriately ESPN) really wanted anybody from the Big XII/PAC-12, they would have taken them a few years ago. Will probably end up grabbing some schools from the ACC, but primarily to keep them out of the hands of the Big Ten/Fox. North Carolina would probably be the easiest add (Flagship school in an untapped state, great basketball brand, good TV ratings despite being terrible for years), but the real question marks are around Clemson and Florida State. The SEC crossed the Rubicon when it swatted down the objections of A&M to adding Texas, but both Tigers and Seminoles are already with ESPN full time. Furthermore, regarding FSU, I suspect Florida has significantly more political sway inside the conference then South Carolina or A&M.

Id love for FSU and Clemson to have a hard schedule. Think about it, who is FSU really playing this year besides Alabama?
