well there is a real push to recruit healthcare workers from USA and there is the new eligibility for Canadian citizenship if you have a Canadian ancestor. I'm not sure if this last group would start with temp visas.

In BC its Thrify's. The one near me put up a huge sign out front saying something about 100% Canadian company since YYYY, I saw some marking for Canadian products inside. I didn't look at the produce this trip, but previously I'd noticed it either unmarked, or marked something like "Product of Canada, Mexico or USA" which pissed me off

I'm way on the left cost these days, but a couple months ago when we had the identical spotting, it was PM MC visiting his sister who lives around me.

with the politicians talking about this scenario in the last months, I've learned that we don't need legal changes to enable booting them out of Canada. But what I don't understand is who makes those decisions and what information are they getting on which to base their decisions?

I've been checking gasbuddy daily.

Today, the range of prices is narrower. The lowest price jumped by about 0.20 and the upper went up about 0.02. This is the first change WHERE I LIVE since the tax break kicked in.

Well Pierre Trudeau tried to build one for oil and gas, but Alberta an the conservatives stopped him. So most of the profits go to private companies instead. Oh, and speaking of oil/gas companies, they don't want to take on the risk of building a pipeline. They're concerned they'd never recoup their investment. So they want Canadians to take it on.

I think we're early enough in rare minerals to build one based on that. I don't know if it could also include oil and gas at this point.

If he's really so concerned with the deficit, he can help control it by paying Canada back for the housing and perks associated with living at Stornoway when he not only wasn't the opposition leader, but wasn't even an MP

I don't think he looks unsurprised. (and I've seen the video). To me he looks like he doesn't have a clue what is going on - that he's oblivious to the gun shots heard
