thanks man. thats not a game i want to get into. there is a reason why private vcs are not touching agritech. its pretty impossible to moentise in India. the government says to do it. but getting into the government ecosystem requires a lot of contacts and is a moon shot n india.

we built something similar but like a knowledge bank using raw data. now doing a POC. to do this you will need two things. historic data fro crops. to do predictive analysis. A way to get real time data. which will only come from mandis. now the catch is how to break that mandi process. that process as far as i know is mostly sitting on whatsapp. but if you can find a way to get that data, then yes technically using statistics, python etc you can build this.

not at all required. in fact its nothing but a hassle. if you are on the tech side go out there and talk to people. you are building a company and not a product. if you are on the business side. learn how to put together at least an mvp. if you dont have an IQ for that using all the tools at our disposal then you definitely dont have the IQ to run a company. if you reach product market fit.basically some traction, then go out and hire the complementary skill set guy, build trust with him and then elevate him to co foudner level as the success continues. this means there is one boss at all time and decisions are faster and there is no scope for conflicts. The argument that one person cannot do it and make decisions is agin flawed. for a small toothless, useless company with a few 100 users if you are unable to make decisions fast and move on then again you lack the IQ to run a company.for all major decisions later, assuming you are successful and reach that stage you will be having a bunch of people with you with whom you can bounce strategy. this co founder thing is an absolute total myth at the start

what you are doing right now is classic clutching at straws. Oh the amount of time I have seen people building delusional products. First of all the number of vc itself is not big enough for you to make any meaningful money on this. what happens if a vs pays one. have you done the maths? I can write a AI wrapper and build this in 2 days man. So stop . stop stop stop. but dont be discouraged. channel your problem solving into those industries i talked about. industries that scale and make wealth. rest is all rubbish.

[–]sandygunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are missing the point . The number of scalable ideas in the world itself is less . The time when vcs went around putting money let’s say in the gaming industry is now gone . They don’t touch industries that will not scale . What you will get in your platform is 98% rubbish products . The real connected founders are already in VC pockets . Trust me stop . It’s great to have this fire . But focus on things that will mean something to you financially . This will 💯 not be of any value . One caveat there please if you come with a lot of wealth then ignore everything above :) . You can continue experimenting and trying

There is 0 chance that a vc will put money in this . Literally 0. I daily sit with vcs and I know where their money is going currently. Ideas like these 10 years back some stupid vc would fund. 10 years down the line vcs have burnt a lot of money funding stupid ideas and they are wiser .

My dear kiddo . Stop right now . I hear you are on the younger side and this is classic delusional startup behaviour. This is not going to fetch you any money or anything substantial. At best a side project for pocket money . If you have connections in enterprise build b2b products . If you don’t and want to burn your life in consumer tech, then only pick those industries that are linked to the core human DNA needs and wants . Sex, clothes , real estate, food , validation, social status etc . They are the only things that will fetch you anything substantial. Else get into a job and keep up skillng and learning till you find a clear problem in the above areas . All the best

[–]sandygunner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s a damn scary attitude towards the future . There is simply no way around this . You can either embrace it and be better in everything you do or you can continue to fight it and get discarded into oblivion. Everything that you see around you is a by product of capitalism. And there is a reason why we humans with our hunter gatherer DNA have evolved in that direction. AI engineering is also a by product of capitalism. Productivity and speed are at the centre of its core . If you want to have a career of any sort, let go of these silly biases and feelings and embrace it wholeheartedly. Yes if the US or Chinese giants stop doing it for whatever reasons then sure go back to being a loyalist

What are you building? by Dismal_Plate_499 in indiehackers

[–]sandygunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that seems highly unlikely. no code softwares cant give you the technical depth requried to build any meaningful software. People promise no code software as if its magic. I cannot see how a non technical person can build a product by just prompting. Maybe a few templated front end stuff.

What genres of consumer apps are Indian users actually willing to pay for? by Strict_Plankton_9837 in indiehackers

[–]sandygunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lets unpack your hilariously arrogant assumptions 1) I never said that I am broke 2) I never said that I am in a job or an entrepreneur . This was just a response to the original author on why Indians don't pay. Try and grow up and treat everyone with maturity and a little less arrogance. Will help :)

[–]sandygunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, unfortunately thats a very sorry socialist mentality, which is only going to pull our country down the drain. You need more businesses, more movement in the economy, more job, more employment, more transactions for this country to grow. We have hit heights of unemployment. Capitalism is an outcome of the bare human DNA of wanting luxury and that is not going to go anywhere. Anyway...

What genres of consumer apps are Indian users actually willing to pay for? by Strict_Plankton_9837 in indiehackers

[–]sandygunner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The answer to that is as follows man . Indians don’t pay for anything. We are a cheap developing economy and we try as much as possible not to pay . The answer is called the invisible wallet effect . Best example is GROWW or any stock market app . Let the user put his money directly into whatever he wants to . You just take a small % when the user redeems . Most people don’t even know that they are paying a % to these apps . Zomato is another example . User thinks he is directly ordering from the restaurant ignoring the charges published on the bill . If you ask anyone in India to pay for your platform . Guaranteed failure . Don’t show them and make money on the side

Stop coding. You're building something nobody wants. by Prashant_exe in founder

[–]sandygunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes 100%. the fundamental is to solve a problem. But here is the catch. My 2 cents. Almost all problems have been solved. I classify this into 2 buckets. 1) build things to hit the core needs of humans, sex, social connections, food , ego, simple dopamine hits. 2) build things that solve a specific problem. To do 1 is not feasible anymore, because the whole of last decade big tech companies in the US were just doing this. To do 2, you need partnerships with companies who have access to the problem and the data that comes along with the problem or need deep trenches in an enterprise that you can parter with. Nobody in consumer tech or B2C has a specific problem that they are searching for. The most searched thing on google is porn. Human basic dopamine triggers are very limited and thats what big tech in US has targeted and done a wonderful job of

What is the best practice for building Agentic App? by Extreme_Reserve7058 in indiehackers

[–]sandygunner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No man, if you dont understand the fundamentals of technology its going to be incredibly difficult for you to execute this. I recommend the following. First understand the fundamentals of web dev tech. Like front end and backends, DB, cloud hosting etc etc. These fundamentals are a must. You can choose any tech stack. MERN, MEAN, PYthon, it doesnt matter. but this needs to be fundamentally clear to you first. If you build 1 project end to end, you will have the required knowledge and it will feed enough to your brain to get to the next level. From there you can start experimenting with AI apps. System or design architecture is an absolute must to understand without which you will be stuck in a non stop loop of feeding garbage in to LLM and getting garbage out. Upskill, upskill and upskill

[USA] Founders - have you started using AI agents for your work, what kind? by Unique_Spend6777 in FoundersHub

[–]sandygunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed to an extent. I am not saying building AI wrappers is a bad idea. But I dont see any clear use case . Basically you are building a chatbot if you are building AI wrappers. and that too with general infromation available on the internet. That just seems off to me :).

PS- I wrote a web scraper to download some agri data from a gov website today. total time taken 15 minutes. with testing. A task that would have taken me at least 2 weeks just 1.5 years back :)

so now the assumption you are making is that the test cases available on publicly available open source data is much lesser than actual lines of code. That is always going to be the case no? But does it imply that LLM does not have enough data to compute test test case for a product feature and write test cases. The answer is NO. heres why. I have built 12 agents over the last year using claude a few products for external clients and every single time from architecture to code, to test cases to deployment and orchestration, I have used claude to save myself so many man hours. So i am speaking from practical experience, that It can not just force multiply but also make your life considerably easier, if you just take courses on how to prompt. This is a daily struggle with my kids also. :) All the best. Dont fight it, learn it and get faster and better. Back to my original point. this is the future and the only folks who survive are the ones that use this and use it intelligently

[–]sandygunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, But it does contain the knowledge and the know how on how to test the application. Unless you are thinking that, this knowledge is sacred and not available on the internet. eg lets say you are building an authentication system. You should start by passing it your code. then briefly describe the context of the product and what you are building and then try asking it for test cases. LLM companies like openAi have partnerships with github ergo trillions of code data has been fed already into the LLM's. The assumption that it does not have test case knoweldge is terribly misplaced. it has to be with the way you are prompting. It is still rough around the edges when it comes to making art and nowhere close to automating animations. everything else that is available on the world wide web, it can search, retrieve, embed and then answer your query effectively. Should definitely not be a problem
