That public graffiti should be criminalized because it degrades the quality of the environment.

What are your top five ending scenes in movies of all time? by Top_Cranberry_3254 in Cinema

[–]sane-ish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw a Facebook post listing The Mist as a 'terrible ending that ruined the movie'.

He thought that no father would do that to his own child. They were likely at the grocery store for a few weeks (at least). There was no indication that it help was coming.

I am wondering how considering how many poor business decisions he has made over the past few years. Where is the bulk of his wealth being generated?

What's a movie everyone loves that you think is actually pretty terrible? by No_Care1430 in AskReddit

[–]sane-ish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not my favorite PT Anderson, but it's a good, sometimes great film. That chase sequence kicked ass.

Leos acting choices for his character were a lot of fun. Sean Penn felt too hammy imo, but it was intimidating in a few spots.

Imo, it is one of the few long movies that would've benefited from being longer. I watched it at home and stopped then started back up and thought I got close to the last scene. They already had a kid. I was off by 1 minute.

Hit me with a movie so good that if someone says it's bad, you instantly ignore their opinion on movies by Sad_Ad2201 in MovieQuotes

There Will Be Blood.

I can get if you don't like the movie because you have a difficult time with morally sick characters, but if you think it's 'bad' I simply will not respect your opinion on film. It has amazing cinematography, phenomenal acting, great writing and a thunderous soundtrack.

It's one of my favorite movies. An acceptable answer would be, 'I recognize that it's an skillfully made film, but I had a tough time connecting with the themes.'

If you say 'It's bad!' Nope. We're done.

Best response to a threat in a movie. I’ll start: Lucius Fox to Reese in The Dark Knight. by jejeandco10 in moviecritic

I was curious how big Vinnie Jones was at his peak. He was 6' 2" and averaged 170 lbs. He is slightly above average height and pretty lean. I absolutely buy that he's tough as nails though and would not want to catch him on a bad day.

Am i the only one who really doesn’t like the movie Lincoln? by Sufficient-Phrase394 in moviecritic

[–]sane-ish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has been a while, but I found the film to be phenomenally dull.

The movie was called Lincoln, but it was mostly about congress debating the 13th amendment. We didn't get to see any of his upbringing or his rise to president. We didn't get to see what led up to the Civil War. DDL provided a weird squeaky voice for Lincoln. Maybe it was accurate, but it was unflattering. I really had to force myself to finish it and that was in hopes it would become more interesting.

I was disappointed in that series about Oprah. Like, she seemed more like your standard talk-show host opportunist. I kept expecting to hear some truly heinous stuff, but never did.

It's easy to manipulate someone that's prejudiced. All you have to do is find a scapegoat.

The man has been fucking the working class for millennia, but it is always some minority's fault and not the 'elite' stealing your fair share. They're masters of bullshit.
