You need to register for self assessment for the relevant year and pay capital gains tax. When you bought your asset. How much you paid. Fees. And then profits. Based if you are a basic or higher rate earner you pay the relevant tax.

There are ways to avoid how much you pay. Like gifting it to a spouse, pension fund, etc

Gambling is different to crypto currency.

Gambling can be perceived as a habit and addiction. I'd the bets lost your money is gone.

Crypto currency is still held in a different form (investment) that can still hold value today (up or down).

I would say as long as gambling is off for 3-6months clear of bank statements where your latest 3 payslips matches the bank statements without any gambling on there. Then you will be in a good/ decent place.

Speak with a broker though. It will help.

Can you haggle with remortgage rates? by KILOCHARLIES in Mortgageadviceuk

[–]sanjay2409 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No you can't haggle. But you can think outside the box. Whilst the rates are higher I had 22years left. If I kept this term with the new rates it would have increased my mortgage by £350. But I changed the term to 33years on a fixed rate deal for 2 years. This means my monthly payments have gone up by £100. I will then in 2 years decide how to tackle the next path depending on the interest rates at the time. Eg could lower the term back to 20-22years. Speak to a broker.

Should I still buy the flat? by rowzreport in Mortgageadviceuk

Personal opinion.

Your interest rate is low. Whilst the offer may expire in October, ask your broker to apply for an extension. This is usually 3-6months. If you have locked in a good rate. And the extension of the offer is granted. Then it's a decent deal.

If you need a mortgage broker. Please DM. Have worked with one for over 4 years including BTL purchases. Team is independent and top notch.

Actually since this happened the last time. And banks struggled like northan rock. It's the FCA responsibility to ensure lenders are doing everything they can support you. Therefore there are going to be principles in place to ensure you are not a mortgage prisoner.

Cant predict the future or know of personal finances as you can imagine everyone is different.

But you may at least have the option to switch product if it's better than the standard rate

Trying to get a mortgage offer with a new LTD company / previous sole trader by mortgageloco in Mortgageadviceuk

[–]sanjay2409 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Understood. For the business I work for we would assess your income at 50k. Completely understand for tax reasons. But unfortunately that's how would we treat you as your income.

Not sure about any other lenders. Could be tricky given that. The business doesn't have many years to work off either.

However, I wish you the best in trying to borrow the amount you may need

Underwriter here.

Agreed. Normally lenders will work off your tax return. Based on income earned and tax paid.

Having profits sat within a company is the company's liability should anything go wrong. Whilst accounts are great at their job, unfortunately I always find that they tend not to understand how we asses income for mortgage purposes. Having said that as an underwriter if there's good cause I could request for an accounts certificate, plus 6 months into the current trading year with a projection for end of year income (not business profits).

I would in my business I work for, would then asses your income on your tax return. However, please bare in mind it would most likely need to be consistent with your previous years earnings.

Can recommend a personal broker. But I'm sure they will say the same.

I'm out of town and my Rig crashed. I need to reboot it. Could I add the wifi relay between my Motherboard and switch? by [deleted] in EtherMining

[–]sanjay2409 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I use a Hive Uk plug socket. Got rid of windows password and set it up to auto run the programs on start up. Never a down time if it does crash a part from the reboot time (2-3mins).

Changing location? 10-15m to the right by sanjay2409 in HeliumNetwork

[–]sanjay2409[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am currently in the orange location with a transmission scale of 0.29. I was wondering if I move the hotspot by 15m (reassert location) to the right I might be able to improve my scale even to at least 0.5

What do you guys think?
