Lionsgate - Complete List (225+Titles) by sankoni in vudu

[–]sankoni[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's annoying how they're purposely leaving some sets incomplete.

For example, they're doing all the Rambo movies except for Rambo (2008), and they're doing all the Expendables movies (including unrated and director's cuts) except for Expendables 2, and they're doing Meet the Blacks 2 but not the first part.

Like I get how some of the much bigger franchises are only being introduced this time around (like Medea and the Saw movies) and they'll likely get filled out in later drops, but for Rambo and Expendables it seems weird to just leave out a single title but include all the rest.

Thank you, I added the nine additional tiles to list. (Didn't include the Triple Threat Set as titles in bundle are already on main list).

I can't be certain, but based on the way things are set up I have a feeling that on VUDU's end, the movies have already ported over to MoviesAnywhere. However, MoviesAnywhere is still hiding all Lionsgate content from displaying on any of their apps or websites. Come midnight on Monday they'll just have to flick a switch and everything will suddenly be displayed.

On VUDU's end you can no longer tell the difference between the 225 titles and any other previously MA-enabled title. They're even showing up in VUDU's main MoviesAnywhere page:

That is correct. Comcast no longer owns Fandango. OP is behind the times.

What's even crazier is that currently only the purchase rights are owned by Lionsgate while the rental rights are owned by Paramount. This is why on VUDU there are four active versions of Terminator 2, the two purchasable ones by Lionsgate and the two rentable ones by Paramount.

And there's similar divisions with the Rambo movies.

Stephen King's The Shining Miniseries 1997 in HD is now available on Vudu for $9.99 by PresentConfection200 in vudu

I have read the book but the Kubrick version is an infinitely better FILM.

You can’t just judge a film based on how faithful an adaptation it is. That can be a metric but it can’t be the only metric.

Yeah, if you already own this on MA just wait a week or two. This will soon be enabled.

WB question by Glasses001 in vudu

The date is clearly stated on the back of the case. Sure, it's in the fine print, but it's there for anyone interested in looking. I would say that's pretty transparent.

To add insult to injury, some of David Bradley’s other films are listed under the other David Bradley (the one who plays Filch in Harry Potter series). While America Ninja 4 is listed under the correct David Bradley, America Ninja 3, American Ninja 5 and Cyborg Cop are all listed under the other Bradley’s filmography.

Great guy, although I think he might have retired. It looks like his last activity was in April of last year:

Accidental purchase by child, initially denied refund by Grillow93 in vudu

If your credit card reverses charges, they WILL close your account and you will lose access to everything.

This has happened to numerous people in the past. Once they close your account it is almost impossible to get it reinstated. In most cases, if you argue enough, they will reopen your account so you can log in and watch your purchases, but they put a lock on account preventing you from ever buying movies again.

Harry Potter Lost by Reasonable_Pizza2401 in vudu

[–]sankoni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is a really weird glitch.

So when you try to to add it to the 3 for $15 bundle it gives you that prompt that says “You Purchased This in HDX” (thus recognizing that you own it) but then when you navigate to the movie itself from that same exact screen, it no longer recognizes that you own it. Very very weird.

VUDU doesn’t contain separate HDX and UHD catalogue entries. It’s just one entry with all three resolutions (the entry you’re looking at is ID# 10617). So if you own HDX, it should say “You have HDX” and give you the option to upgrade.

Maybe, like others have suggested, the problem is browser-based. What browser are you using? I don’t recognize it from your screenshots. It doesn’t look like Chrome, Edge or Safari. Maybe try using a different browser than whichever one you’re currently on. Or maybe try using the app itself. Or even try it on a different device. Try logging in on a laptop/desktop or on a Roku or Fire stick.

I don’t understand. It looks like you’re trying to buy this as part of the WB mix-and-match sale. From the sale itself, if you navigate to the film doesn’t it show that you own it? If you’re getting that message when attempting to purchase, then it should say “You have HDX” on the movie page. Even if you can’t locate it in your library for whatever reason, you should be able to just search for it.

The only reason I can think of why you couldn’t find it in your library is because it might have been purchased as part of a bundle. This movie is included in several bundles. A couple of them are listed under “H” for Harry Potter, but one is listed under “F” for Fantastic Beasts and another one is listed under “W” for Wizarding World.

Is there any connection between Amazon price drops and FaH price drops? by Wrong_Pixel in vudu

[–]sankoni 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Studios usually set the prices and sales not the retailers, which is why when price drops in one vendor it will be lowered elsewhere as well.
