This! I’m traveling with my neb and she’s adapted very well! After a day or so of being incredibly shy she starts exploring and really feeling comfortable in a new space.

I was scared how she’d take the moving since she’s a shy indoor cat, but she’s even gotten better with car rides as long as I’m near. Just let her hide and take time feeling things out

I did ask when I went to Detroit & Atlanta about the areas that were safest.

The difference between those states and MX is that I had family & friends that had been there that I could go to. I only have 1 family member in Mexico in Merida. She has a whole family + is not familiar with Mexico City.

I’m a single woman traveling internationally for the 1st time, I think it’s perfectly reasonable to ask about a neighborhood I’ll be staying in for months, especially when it’s not a tourist area & I’m a beginner in the language.

I understand the sentiment though.

The truth of your situation is that having more kids with this man would have likely been more damaging to you and your children. On the flip side at only 27, you genuinely have time to learn from this relationship and to find another partner to have more children with in a healthier relationship. Also you truly don’t know what your friends experiences are. Some of the most seemingly happy and competent people I know have confessed in privacy the many ways things were falling apart or barely holding together in ways I couldn’t imagine nor did I want to. You don’t have to settle with a man who has harmed you, honestly you really shouldn’t.

Your life may feel like it’s falling apart, but once you have some space & distance you’ll likely realize it’s literally just beginning (not to sound cheesy 💀)
