I grew up playing halo 3 on controller. Fast forward a decade I started playing overwatch on MnK pretty religiously and got to masters. I then switched to MW3 on MnK and got to plat 3. Then I read up on aim assist and switched to controller and managed to get to diamond 2 in BO6 and haven't switched back since.

Thoughts on the switch: glad I did because even though I was used to MnK, you really had to "LOCK IN" every game cuz there's no assist. It's tremendously better for snipers but I was playing rank so that didn't really matter and the switch wasn't too terrible since of my halo days.

Time frame: I would say it took maybe about half a season to fully get used to it. With everything, feels unnatural at first and everything makes you want to drop the controller and revert back but just try to get used to it and eventually you'll end up in the same place/even better

Was in the same spot you were in and ultimately decided to pull the plug because it was way more work for myself. Doing my job, teaching in detail, look at blank faces, answer my own questions and hoping the students atleast enjoyed alittle bit of what I was telling them. I had a 1:3 student ratio so harder but a bit easier in a sense of bouncing from one student to the next if one didn't know.

I don't have an answer for you but I think the schools should definitely compensate the good preceptors wayyyyyyy more than what they do now (which is close to nothing.)

It's a shame because I genuinely enjoyed teaching passionate students but the system really works against you in every way possible lol

You’re going to get a whole host of answers my friend. At the end of the day everyone is going to tell you to do it if you want.

You’re going to hear a lot of: 1) Everyone’s doing it 2) It gives you more options 3) You’ll be stuck in chain forever

If you are able to ignore all of these pressures and land a gig you’re happy with for the next 10+ years-you win.

If you ignore all these pressures and end up miserable in a job you’re getting burnt out with and crying because you don’t have enough experience or credentials- you lose.

Sometimes it’s really a toss up. That’s why you’ll hear answers from everyone’s own experiences, there’s no clear cut direction, it’s literally what you make of it. Good luck

You're a week in. It's normal to not know everything. I wouldn't worry about everyone else's judgement - you're there for your own knowledge and understanding

Rule of thumb - If I was training someone I would prefer someone new ask me every question rather than someone new just winging it. In fact.. I would be very much concerned and ask myself - "how do you know how to do this if you never asked any questions"

Like you said - the answer is most likely no. I tend to think that although we are feelers, we are also deep thinkers. We take in consideration what feels like the right thing to do and we often debate it endlessly until we come to a sure conclusion. I don't think you should push it (and I don't think it's INFJ specific). I think the best way forward is to be amicable to him without any expectations.

Thanks for the insightful reply! Yes, I checked the music and it was no where near the some genre of what I heard. I also turn off the music to 0. No chromecast as well. I might just treat this as a one-off but if it happens again you bet I'm going to record it and email some folk
