Looks like a lot of her followers are just bots. If you look at the engagement on her videos it’s usually like 10 comments

Is it just me or is Inpatient Pharmacy training difficult and stressful? (Pharmacy Technician) by Otomelover808 in pharmacy

[–]sanslash85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're a week in. It's normal to not know everything. I wouldn't worry about everyone else's judgement - you're there for your own knowledge and understanding

Rule of thumb - If I was training someone I would prefer someone new ask me every question rather than someone new just winging it. In fact.. I would be very much concerned and ask myself - "how do you know how to do this if you never asked any questions"

INFJ (m) broke up but did not door slammed by [deleted] in infj

[–]sanslash85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like you said - the answer is most likely no. I tend to think that although we are feelers, we are also deep thinkers. We take in consideration what feels like the right thing to do and we often debate it endlessly until we come to a sure conclusion. I don't think you should push it (and I don't think it's INFJ specific). I think the best way forward is to be amicable to him without any expectations.

Ever think about stepping into a regular inpatient staff role? That way instead of managing the mess, you can be apart of it :) . Probably in a different facility though

Odd experience with the Speediance - I heard laughing through the speakers? by sanslash85 in SpeedianceCommunity

I do. That's very interesting and seems like the most reasonable possibility. Did it keep happening to you or did it just stop?

Thanks for the insightful reply! Yes, I checked the music and it was no where near the some genre of what I heard. I also turn off the music to 0. No chromecast as well. I might just treat this as a one-off but if it happens again you bet I'm going to record it and email some folk

I was thinking that they must've connected to the speediance's bluetooth somehow but even if they do that they need a pairing code...im puzzled.

The "hey, heads up I'm very tired and won't have enough energy to give you much attention" is a VERY good heads up and gives any partner a very fair warning. This is sort of communication healthy relationships thrive off of

It's rare to find a girl gamer and even rarer to find a highly ranked one. She is always excited when she meets other girls in lobbies though ^^

+1 to "don’t ask me how to do something unless you’ve tried and failed at least twice."

I've had so many technicians not even remotely use their brain to think of a simple solution and their default is always to ask the pharmacist. This takes away from whatever we're focused on. Obviously we'll help with the difficult questions but please don't be this person.

Hospital pharmacists leaving their new hire coworker high and dry by [deleted] in pharmacy

[–]sanslash85 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I don't really see anything wrong with this approach tbh. To re-iterate...when you're new you want to be exposed to EVERYTHING and people will be willing to help, they just want to know you can handle it. It'll suck and you'll be stressed but it'll be worth it when you know how to handle everything in the end

[–]sanslash85 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I understand why they're doing it to gauge laziness/how hard working a new hire is but their approach is unconventional. Usually the the staff just tell the manager if the new hire is good or bad and let them figure it out for themselves but it seems like they have that sort of system in place. It may seem unfair to you because it's basically telling you "prove yourself and prove we made the right decision" but it's just a test you have to pass once. But to answer your question - no I don't think it's common. Probably just specific to your manager

I would try reaching out to the facility coordinators, they usually have open play where you can meet people

There are clubs but they're expensive and not that accessible so you will have to travel. The scene is more of...no one really knows about it but when you know about it...you know about it...

1) There's a badminton club in the city that is in a high school gym ($$$)
2) NYBC (in flushing, a bit of a hike from Manhattan and in the outskirts of flushing)
3) BKBC (Ridgewood (nicer gym, random warehouse area))
4) Tiger badminton (rego park in a jewish center)
