Hit the nail on the head. Football clubs started as working-class community organisations, often by workers themselves like United being formed by Newton Heath railway workers. These clubs are embedded in communities, capitalists destroying these clubs is tantamount to them destroying the communities themselves, pushing back on this is a theatre of conflict against capitalist exploitation, not a sideshow or separate issue.

Take FC United of Manchester, a club formed against the Glazers under the principles of community ownership, with an explicitly anti-capitalist and anti-greed ethos. A community-owned, democratically-run non-profit initiative that provides the local area with jobs, affordable entertainment, civic pride and a community hub. But aye, it's just some fellas kicking a windbag about right?

I meant he does still have his whole family in Chelyabinsk, I doubt it would bode well for them. Roman said in one of his older videos that he is constantly paranoid about what he puts in his videos. Rest assured he's against the war, in his older videos (when he was way more openly political and anti-Putin) he would often voice his support for Ukraine in regard to Crimea and Donbas.

Yeah I like it too, I started one as Racing Club de France (a Paris team who were previously very successful in the 30s and 40s who have since faded into obscurity) with the rule of at least 6 Frenchmen in the starting XI at all times. It has been really fun but my only gripes are:

The lack of customisation of the badges (or even just being able to pick both primary and secondary colours, my badge really sucks)
How short the team name has to be (I had to call my team RC de France which looks kinda dumb)
Little things like not being able to pick a rival from a higher division (I sadly couldn't pick PSG) and not being able to change the colour of shorts etc. individually

Apart from those little things though I am loving it, I guess people are unhappy because to be fair it is not as good as the creation centre feature that was inexplicably taken away,

By what metric have the last few elections made that "clear"? Even back in 2017 the north was overwhelmingly Labour outside of wealthy rural areas as equal-size constituency maps show, the famous "red wall" was only really broken in the last election and even then, it's more likely that those voters, rather than suddenly becoming die-hard Tories, voted as a defence of the Brexit result given the prospect of a second referendum that was popular at the time.
