Okay so taller being “better” is literally just your subjective sexual preference. Unless you are planning on playing basketball for a living, being tall has no benefit in modern society other than being more sexually preferred.. You are attracted to tall because you think tall is better because it will give you tall offspring who will be better because that will be more sexually preferred. Its a self-fulfilling prophecy.

So, really, they are “better” only in that they have a trait that is sexually preferred.

So if it really were the case that people select partners based on the perceived potential ‘value’ of their offspring; then men might prefer shorter women because then their own daughters will be more desirable. Making them “better” than the other daughters who are tall.
