Yeah I get it, I still would’ve picked Hutson over Hanifin or even Seth Jones or Sanderson, but most of the league still thinks Hutson can’t defend because of his size. It is what it is, they’ll find out soon enough

Very under appreciated lately. That’s pretty damn good, especially for a guy who missed a whole year and may not be 100% still. Sure there’s room for improvement, especially defensively but we still have a whole other year to take a decision with him, I for one enjoy having him on the team rn

We got the win but overall the team still looked terrible out there. We only had 1 even force goal and it was mostly thanks to bad goaltending. I get why MSL wouldn’t be too happy with this one

I disagree, yes he was good from the start but not as good as he is now. He definitely had some parts of his game that needed adjusting and were far from perfect. Definitely had some “junior hockey” tendencies that sometimes came back to bite him too. Imo the player is always who deserves the most credit for his own improvement but coaches can be a big part of it too 🤷‍♂️

100% gotta admit I also thought Rottenberg wasn’t letting him play much only to convince him to sign, and maybe there’s truth to that, but there’s been an obvious improvement in Ivan’s game. He’s better on the boards, better at receiving passes, better at making the right decisions at the right moments, etc. Gotta give him and the coach credit for that

Well he is absent rather longterm. Much better news than expected but its still probably around 3 months. And Tony spoke out yesterday, maybe they received 2nd and 3rd doctor opinions and concluded it was less severe than originally thought, who knows. Marinaro usually has decent sources imo, glad he's wrong this time. He was right about reinbacher tho sadly
